You never want to completely open top 9 spots for young guys. Would much rather make them play their way in the lineup.

I don’t think those trades are really all too realistic value aside. We’re pretty much breaking our successful formula and taking on guys in different roles on teams that have been struggling ( Islanders only this past season).

Lmao. We won’t have the cap to resign Barbashev or Mikkola no matter what next offseason. Kostin is looking to be a bust, and Tarasenko/Krug have been rumored to be on the trading block. Saad would be being replaced by a younger forward.

To be fair, I think I would accept the deal next offseason. I don't see it as a huge stepdown, if any, from Greiss to Lindgren and I wouldn't mind clearing Scandella's cap.

That said, I don't think Greiss is signed that long and no idea about Lindgren
