Why is it Montreal is able to take throw away players and get value out of them. A 2nd+4th....... jebus
At the prices each went for, absolutelySo would people have preferred Dillon?
2020 version.Depends on what version of Scandella we get.
He was better in Buffalo than in Montreal, and players can struggle with adapting to new teams, so we could get someone completely different from what we are expecting. Could be better, could be worse.2020 version.
They retained 50%, so we still have some wiggle room.I assume Montreal held some salary? Early deal to free Armstrong for something else before the deadline?
Given what Dillion just went for, doesn't make sense from our end.Cap Space
They retained 50% of his salary; Buffalo didn't.
What forward, if any, do we like? Montreal didn't need to retain for us to fit Scandella so I think Armstrong has another card to play.
I've read Scandella is pretty soft now.Are Scandella and Dillon really THAT different? Feel like it’s closer than people think. Dillon is solid, he’s not a star or anything.
Both are big guys that play physical, kill penalties, and can move the puck decently enough to put up 20 or so points. Same age too.
