Perron-Sobotka-Tarasenko line has worked out much better than I thought it would. That's like their 5th great shift this game.

Perron was sick that shift, outmuscled two Oilers and fed Sobi for a good chance.

You know what's amazing? I don't think you can point to a single game this season and say "Sobotka had a bad game tonight".

Agree completely. Most consistent forward on the team this season by far.

Great play by Backes to deny Eberle. Pang said Petro, but I think it was more Backes.

Okay, that's the first time I've heard him, but Edmonton's arena announcer sounds like Eddie Murphy's white guy impression.

Good for Jaro. That's how you earn more playing time! Not by *****ing to the media, by playing well!

His white guy impression is hysterical. I wish he would go back to stand-up. He's pretty raunchy, but absolutely hysterical.

To stay slightly on topic, I really wish Backes would get it going offensively. That would take this team to another level.

Loudest that arena has been all night...

Team was clicking pretty well. Clean entries and positionally sound game for the most part. Puck support seemed to be there every time. Lots of Oilers making moves only to have it stolen by the 2nd guy.

That's just an excellent road win top to bottom. And I didn't expect anything less.

The Oshie goal was nice. Reminds me of some goals McDonald and Shattenkirk scored last year on Edmonton, basically the same move.

Stewart's all-around game is so much better it's unbelievable. Hitchcock may be the best thing that's ever happened to him, when just last year I was thinking the exact opposite. What a difference that offseason made, wow. Props to him.

Really everyone looked good (except Perron) but I'd like to point out the center play of Sobotka and Berglund tonight. They both looked real good and had good games.

Nice win. Expecting Halak to get the start tomorrow because of the shutout rule (and after all that time off he should be well rested enough anyways).

Yeah, I think Jaro deserves the start tomorrow. He earned it. If he's exhausted, then start Allen, but I doubt that's the case.

Playing Edmonton never makes me nervous. They're just not threatening.

Halak played very well. Total team game. I love David Perron and there were moments when I could see that line click but this was as disappointed in him as I've ever been.

Backes is a one-way defensive player this year.

"Pedderangelo" – post game show on HNIC. That's a new one.

Welp that was a solid game. I'm starting to doubt Backes finishes with 5 goals this year.

I'm still loving schwartz play. he's turning into a sobotka with a little more playmaking ability (obviously not as big of hits tho). Winning battles consistently, making plays, blocking shots, doing the LITTLE things right. Future is bright here for sure. The near future i should say.
