Blues Forum Lounge (Home of All Things OT) - Part 2024-2025

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server

My ignore list appears intact. I am not seeing anyone I would have had on there. I think I might have list my sponsorship though.
If you paid for a sponsorship and lost it, please contact @hangman005 with any sort of receipt you might have and they will be able to get it restored. This applies to all users.

Thanks. I'll have to track down a receipt, and I'm not sure when my renewal date would be. It's not a big deal. I sponsor to support the site. My ad block covers the rest. I can just sponsor again if needed.

I just mention it as it seems everyone has their own unique issues from the crash.

I moved out here in 1994 and live near Zumwalt West. It's astonishing how much this area has grown in the 30 years we've been here. Progress is good, but I'm not gonna lie, I do miss the fields and farmhouses along Hwy K as compared to all the strip malls today.
My younger brother and sisters went to South
... we lived in Belleau Lake Estates. The growth has been hard to keep up with... my grandparents house was on K where the Auto Zone is now a couple hundred yards from Schnucks... Nothing but woods and corn back then.

I just paid $12 again. Runs perfect. It’s worth every penny

It's definitely worth it to support the site. But you should have good ad block anyway for other sites.

I highly recommend opera browser. You can't just plug in ad block on most mobile browsers. Opera has it built in. The site runs perfect on my phone with or without sponsorship.

This site runs like shit on my iPad until I became a sponsor. It’s back running like shit again since the crash. Do I have to pay again?
Sorry, I just came back here...you won't have to pay again.....in the "National Hockey League Talk" forum on the main board, there's a thread "Current state of the Board". A moderator stated on page 9 of that thread that he can address the ad issues, if you PM him, which I did. He corrected for me immediately. I also posted the link to that thread earlier on this page.

It was only $12. No biggie

Good news? None of the storms hit me or my family.

Bad news? I’m back in the hospital for a UTI, and I had a vasovagal reaction that caused me to pass out and fall out of the hospital bed (with wounds on my hands to prove it).
Out of the hospital, thank holy fate!! Now just waiting for tomorrow (because I’m tired and didn’t get much sleep at the hospital).

How to succeed at job interview:

Step 1: the day of your interview experience a situation that requires emergency dental care

Step 2: still show up to your interview on time and act like it’s no big deal at all despite massively swollen face.

I wouldn’t suggest you necessarily follow this strategy but if you find your situation gives it to you….you cannot be denied. Never felt more in control of an interview or any negotiation really.

Where in Greece?
This would have been in Patras fresh off the boat from Brindisi, Italy. It’s just an overnight large ferry ride. Debarking early morning to people selling their goods. We bought a bunch of road food right there and then that lasted us at least three days. Cured meat, cheese and bread with fruit bought along the way. I bit into the peach immediately after paying for it. I must’ve been very hungry. LOL

Best peach ever. Calliope.

You actually meant the fruit?
