I got vaccinated for COVID early last week. I thought things were looking up. But we had a tree fall that caused a power surge which destroyed a lot of our electric machines (garage door openers, dryer, etc.). Then we had a torrential rainfall and our sump pump didn’t turn on (probably fried from the electrical surge) and our basement flooded on Christmas Day. I’m so ready for 2020 to be over!

I actually am pretty sure he was instructed to do so. Nothing flagrant, but there was just no incentive for them to win.

I can't see that going well over in the locker room, or Philly for that matter.. doubt the owner would pull somthing like that, unless it was deciding a top-5 pick.

It did look like that was the case tho..

Edit: Well it actually kinda was deciding a top 5 pick lol.. so who knows!?

It was deciding picking 4th. I think most of the players were trying. It only takes a couple guys...say a back-up QB to make a bad play or two. Anyway, it worked out better for the team this way.

Just a minor tidbit here, but I’m pretty sure the Eagles will pick from the 6th position.

Not a huge NFL fan any longer, but as players start to be more gentle with each other and not look for the bone-crushing, career-threatening hits, I am becoming more interested.

Unless NFL players be more respectful to each other, this sport will surely die or morph into something that is much different than the NFL of the past.

The graphic they posted during the game (which may have been wrong) said they picked 4th with a loss and 6th with a win. They looked to me fairly disinterested in winning, and some curious coaching decisions.

Just double checked the draft order. Eagles will pick at #6.

The team in which I am most interested, in regards to the draft, is Cincinnati.

Joe Burrow seems to be the real deal and needs as much OL help as possible. They’re currently at the 5th spot and should 100% (imo) target the best OL at that draft position.

I’ve never understood teams with good young quarterbacks not immediately shoring up the OL.

The other interesting team for me is Miami. Never was a Dolphins fan, but I love their rebuild and Tua’s got some chops. They pick at #3 (trade with crappy team)!!! Bills and Dolphins will be the kings of the AFC East very soon.

I used to follow the NFL, but now mostly limit it to the end of season and playoffs. I’m very interested in Cincinnati because I’m rooting hard for their head coach. I grew up in Nebraska, and a die-hard Husker. That team needs OLine help big time, but also on defense. They were in a bear of a division this year. It’s going to be hard to show improvement there.

Right on! Was never a big college football fan, but Turner Gill was my favorite college quarterback back in his heyday.

He’s had a couple good seasons as a college head coach, but is now moving into sports administration.

I'm looking to build a gaming PC instead of buying a next gen console but have no idea what I'm doing. Was this the first one you did?

I was looking at CPUs and GPUs and looks like the popular ones are hard to come by at the moment...
I'm extremely sorry to tell you but in the current PC gaming market everything is jacked up to outrageous prices. It might be best to wait a bit longer to build.

You can probably remove the words PC gaming from your post and swap it with pretty much anything and it would also be applicable. The challenge is whether prices come down on anything and the answer is probably not much if at all.

Yeah, I’m pretty much just playing warzone right now on the PS4 so I’ll probably hold off until something sparks my attention but I also have a good amount of disposable funds due to Bitcoin shooting up...

IIRC, someone on this board mentioned a fantasy book series called ‘The Wheel of Time’.

Does this ring a bell for anyone?

Thanks

This wasn't my first build. I needed a new pc and and decided to go ahead despite the demand and shortages. It took 3 and half months before I got my CPU. Like others have said I would wait until prices come down.
