Out of curiosity, are trucks a common owned vehicle in Finland? I’d look into getting one of those, granted with that much it might not even help lol
At north yes, but south not that. Maybe if you work and you need with it. Compare to south finland, there hasn't been any snow this winter and we had it already 7 month now and still snowing...

Four-wheel drive will help, I've in this my mazda front wheel drive, but too heavy push it away so it stucked. Ofc big case is having good tires. I'll have these spike tires and even those didn't help.

The Blues were eliminated 4-2 in the first round in an 8th seed upset by Nashville in Dom’s model. They had about a 2/3 chance of winning the series, but they didn’t.

If Nashville goes on to win it, we can make them a simulated banner to hang up. Or maybe a real one.

I'd think a dotted outline of a banner with "If real, banner would go here" in the middle of the outline.

I could be completely wrong, but I thought I heard somewhere that Nashville also swept all 4 rounds in an EA playoff simulation...guess these models love them

Dom's model was so easy to generate, but it's simplicity was it's ultimate downfall. From what I could see, he simply used Excel to generate a random 3 decimal number between 0 and 1. The odds of winning were predetermined by the teams' performance in the real part and the simulated completion of the season and the strength of the lineups set by the beat writers. If the Blues had a 65% chance of winning, Nashville would get from 0-0.350 and the Blues would get from 0.351 to 1. Wherever the random number fell for that game's "simulation" determined the "winner". Apparently the Excel random number generator liked the Preds smaller range a lot.

Joe Buck was on Spittin Chiclets today and was talking about his love for the Blues amongst other things. I’ve never understood the hate that guy gets.
It's probably the result of going from hearing Jack Buck as a complete Cardinal and St. Louis guy to hearing Joe be a national announcer who has to be neutral and even go out of his way to not be accused of being a St. Louis guy. People notice the big difference and think "Why can't you be more like your Dad?"

Kansas City hates him, I don't get it. It comes down to they think he's a St. Louis homer and when the Giants beat the Royals in the WS and he was hyping Bumgarner for having a historic performance. Bumgarner had a 0.47 ERA, 1 run over 21 innings in the WS, including a 5 inning save in game 7. Anyone was going to be hyping that performance like crazy.

I think Joe Buck get the wrap he does because most accounts of meeting the guy are negative. At least that’s what I have heard from second hand accounts. Maybe that is not fair, but it seems it would play a factor.

I memorably met Joe Buck once briefly 20+ years ago. I was a grad student in Atlanta and the Braves were in the World Series. I had a family friend who worked in the sports television industry who was a great source for tickets. He wasn't working this series, but he knew Joe well and hooked me up with his World Series tickets (Braves made multiple Series while I lived there, but I think this was 1996 when Braves played Yankees). To get the tickets I had to swing by Buck's hotel (he was broadcasting games for Fox) and get them directly from him. I knocked on Joe's hotel door and he answers wearing only a towel. So we didn't really chat, but he seemed friendly to me as he handed over the tickets.

It’s funny you mention that series, because he mentions when asked how did he hide favoritism when announcing national Cardinals games, he mentions them losing to the Braves in the series before that.

Sounds like he was expecting someone else.

OT right...

My daughter asked for me to pick her up some apples at the grocery store today. Fiji apples she texted me.

After getting her some apples, I texted her this:

It's Fuji apples, not Fiji. Fuji stands for Mt. Fuji. Mount Fuji is an active volcano you grew up under.
You have fed lions on Mount Fuji, literally...
