You know Carbs is not gonna tolerate how the team is playing of late. He will give them a good kick in the butt! We are very due for our 1st 3 game losing streak in regulation. Bolts have won 7 in row, and look primed to challenge the Leafs/Panthers to win the Atlantic division. The loss against the Bolts might be unavoidable.

On the contrary. I think this team goes soft against middling teams, which is not what you want when you’re facing the WC2 in round 1. But against good teams, they are better. I expect more vs. Tampa. But I want to see them play hard against the bubble teams.

Was not even aware Wilson was out and Vrana played. How was Vrana in his 9:22 TOI?

No Tom Wilson tonight, so that had an effect as well.

Jets 11 game winning streak came to an end with a 2-1 loss on the road to the 3rd worst team(Preds). Losing against lower ranked teams shouldn't happen on paper, but it does in the NHL.

Vrana looked rusty, but I thought he had a decent game. One bad turnover that almost led to a breakaway in the other direction, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see him on nacho duty again as soon as Wilson returns.

Regarding Lindgren. I don't care about locker room presence, I care about is he playing well in net and the answer is, not good enough to warrant a raise. This is a contract season for him, and he's not performing consistent enough to warrant the rumored amount($3+ million per year) he might be seeking. I could see a scenario they give Clay Stevenson(Shep is done and not NHL material, while Stevenson is having an off year with Hershey) a shot in training camp. If he's not ready to backup LT, then we look for someone else that comes in cheaper.

2 farts in the wind in a row. Oh well do it now vs April. Chucky wasn’t great, but not awful IMO. We just looked not engaged for large periods of the game. I’m ok if we don’t see Vrana again. He just do anything for me if he isn’t on a rush up the ice. Would like to see him get a Hershey contract and finish his career in the AHL.

For a goalie who is on an expiring contract, Lindgren is not making a good case for himself to get a good raise. To me last season was his peak(over achievement season), as LT is doing to him what Lindgren did to Kuemper last season. Lindgren is not having a good season with a Caps roster that is playing far better than last season.

If I were Chris Patrick, I would be trying to trade Lindgren to the Oilers who are in need of goaltending help. In exchange I think some offensive depth a long with a pick, would suffice.
