That's it??Locking MacKinnon in a broom closet would incur a $5000 fine. Better not.
Shit, I'll start a collection....

Also agree that Rosen has quietly been good after a rocky start. Makes the smart play and has a good stick in the d zone.Colorado is an excellent team, and they deserve respect. But they haven't won anything yet, and people are treating them like a dominant dynasty. Maybe one day we'll look back and they'll be that, but they aren't that right now. They haven't even proven they can successfully go on a deep run.
The Blues have more psychological edges in this series than the national media are giving them credit for. If they can stay healthy, and get healthier (on defense) I don't see why the Blues aren't going to be good enough to make it a dogfight.
I've seen a lot of comments saying the Blues don't have significant upgrades on the team that got clobbered last year. That's just schmoes voicing ignorance:
- Buchnevich
- Kyrou break out
- healthy Tarasenko
- nonconcussed Faulk
- Parayko's back
- Perron not on Covid protocol
- a defense that isn't built around Santini and Reinke
Its crazy, but as bad as the defense's injuries were against the Wild, I'd prefer that to what it looked like vs Colorado last year.
If Krug can return, that would be great. His status is pretty vague. But until then, Perunovich in the offense deployment (and PP) and a guy like Rosen taking the defensive minutes is a doable strategy. Rosen has been an unsung hero for his play throughout the series. He has become more steady after the first couple games.
I'm expecting that these few days between series will help a ton with Leddy and Bortuzzo being in game shape. Will Scandella return? I see 7D being the plan for the forseeable future.
The Blues are a much better team even with injuries. You could also add Thomas’, Barbashev’s and Husso’s breakout.Colorado is an excellent team, and they deserve respect. This is a terrifying matchup for our D. I cant help be imagine that Colorado's F's are going to eat up anyone not named Parayko. We really need all F's playing like we know they can to stand a chance.
Force them to defend. Keep them in their own end, play physical against them in the corners and on breakouts. Once a guy like Makar has the puck in the offensive zone, you’ve likely already failed to stop him, unless you have elite defensive player like O’Reilly, Parayko, or Faulk glued to them and playing REALLY well.
Not to mention Kuemper didn't play game 4 so more like 8-9 days for himAvalanche will have had 7 straight days without a game, and 17 straight days without a game against a contender that has a goalie that's played more than 3 NHL games.

My instinct is to say we don’t have a chance but dammit I think we can, I think everyone has counted us out for the most part, it seems.
I wonder if Lehtera could hook us up with that guy he had for his skate blades?Perhaps sabotage their skate sharpeners!
They are a damn good team, let's hope the Blues can summon their inner demons to defeat them.Sadly enough, I have to go with Avs in 5 here. Maybe 6. That team is just something else. They were my pick back in Oct to win the cup so we shall see. I hope I am wrong.
Yes - catch them flat early and steal Game 1.Can't help but wonder how 10 days off will affect the Avs whereas the Blues have been playing and tested....

Last night, the first half of the prophecy was fulfilled: Toronto out in the first round.
It's now our turn to bounce the 'Lanche in round 2.
So, it is written.
Tuesday can't get here fast enough.
This isn't MY prediction.Come on man. Acting like you predicted the Leafs being out in the first round is like predicting the sun will rise in the east.
