In my experience:
1) Dreger does have some sources. When he is clear that he is quoting a source, he is often accurate.
2) Dreger is absolutely brutal when he makes his own suppositions. Horribly brutal, Howard Berger brutal. Actually, he is even worse than Howard Berger.
