I hope Brayden Schenn gets dropped on his head.
This has me wondering.
What if the Jets felt uncomfortable going after Brayden last night because Luke is on the team.
I can see someone in the dressing after Scheifele was taken out saying we need to take out that MFer out but it would be awkward with Luke in the room.
Maybe Jets should go after Ekblad this summer at least he knows how to even the score. I'm sure all the Panther players thought the 2 game suspension was worth it when you try to take out our top player you pay the price.

Check out last night's TopLyneMedia post game show, some great therapy for the fans:

The caller who calls in at 15:40 has an epic legendary rant for the ages. 😆

I almost called in as well but was like 6 drinks in and didn't wanna be too unruly. 😳

That's hilarious

Seriously? Let me help you with reading comprehension. I was responding to a post stating that we had an equal number of hits registered in the stats. Does my post make sense to you now? Great. The obviouls next queation is, what does your post have anything to do with anything I was talking about?
rofl, dude you are the one that needs reading comprehension, you said they are grinding us to the ground and it's an effective strategy, I said had we had just average goaltending we would be in the second round.... were not tied in this series because they are hitting us, were tied in this series because our goalie cannot make a save...

look at games 1-2, they chased hits for the 1st half of the game and by the time the 2nd half came alone they ran out of gas and we took over the game, they've had bigger hits but that's not even close to why were tied in the series

Helle hasn't been good. That's not the sole reason this series is where it is. Scheif is not out because Helle. Morrissey isn't playing hurt because Helle. Some of our players, unfortunately, are too often avoiding corners and board battles and it's not because Helle. We simply are not driving the same level of traffic in front of and around Binnington as they are with Helle, and thats not because of Helle.

But hey, you do you.

dude look at all the stats, it's been at least 2 bad goals a game, some at critical times, this series is 100% over by now with league average goaltending, team hasn't been bad at all defensively...

he has a .758 sv% on the road, 25% of the shots are going in during those losses

and maybe had we had league average in those games and it didn't become out of reach we would have generated more offense and won those games, it's like we ignore all context to what actually happened during the game and focus on the end result...

People are assuming it's a concussion for Chef. It may not be. It could be anything.

If Chef is cleared to play, but they are worried about him being a target ( which he is ). they could always dress him as the extra forward and just use him on the PP. Our PP looked so bad in the last game, that if all you used Chef for was PP, that would be a huge improvement.
We scored both our goals on the PP.

3 shots, only one 5 on 5 for almost half a game certainly isn't helping the situation.

Maybe if they played on the road like they did at home it wouldn't matter.

Maybe if you didn't specifically say league average goaltending right before the post wouldn't have fit so well.

Maybe, when games get out of reach is when teams who are losing tend to start to catch up, not mentally collapse like they have.

Luckily we have home ice throughout, so just have to go 12-0 at home and we're golden.

I feel sorry for Arniel. He is a great coach and is doing everything he can to enable his players. Unfortunately I'm betting that game 7 is going to be a smoke show like never before and the Jets are going to get blown out again big time - this time at home despite the hopeful fans. This team is just not physical and they are afraid of the Blues. Even if they were not afraid, its like little boys playing with men. Not mentally or physically tough enough. I think this organization needs to move on from Chevy. He shops in the bargain basement too much picking players that may have skill but have no business being in the NHL because they lack the physical attributes to be in the big league, or picking players that have the size but no skill or speed. This is the problem. To be a playoff team you need both. Toughness and skill.

Yeah, you guys make a fair point about concussion protocol. He has to pass the light aerobic workout and be symptom free to go in. If he's still concussed, then yeah, don't at all. Would rather your brain remain unscrambled.
Does anyone here have any confirmed info that he even had a concussion? Or is this all speculation?

Yeah that Garret take is awful. Especially since he compares our actual goals to their expected.

What 'all the stats'? All you are doing is parotting sv%. Oh, and now I see that you have decided that our offensive production is low because of Helle's sv%. Interesting hill to die on - Helle isn't contributing enough to our offense - look at his sv%.

Your complete lack of objectivity and reason is readily apparent. But hey, it sure is entertaining.

If Helle is at his regular season standard in goals saved above expected, a stat folks love to showcase for Hellebuyck in the regular season, the Jets win 2/3 Ls.

The offense is capped with missing ehlers and Vilardi for a good part of the series. And then scheifele last game, folks really expecting that team to score 6+? The MVP of the team is a shell of his regular season self. That's the biggest difference in this series. A 0.925 goalie has a 0.815.

it's almost like when a team is missing two top 6 forwards for 5 games then their #1 center for the six they will need to win some low scoring games, which is impossible to do when your goalie is giving up weak goals every game that is close...

it's not helle is playing average and were needing him to be a hart level goalie, it's that he's playing awful and we need him to be just average

to quote a stat from reddit "It's the 6th worst save % in a series in NHL history. 4 of those worse were against the 80s Islanders and Oilers dynasties, and the one that isn't was against the Gretzky-led Kings in 1993 en route to the Cup Final."

Here's a reframe, what if we had just squeaked into the playoffs, and were the extreme underdogs. And after 6 gruelling games we made it to game 7 against all odds.

You'd take it. Muhammad Ali knocked out Foreman late in the 8th to win the heavyweight fight, after taking a beating. Champions fight one more round.

And here's the quote:
"Fight one more round. When your feet are so tired that you have to shuffle back to the centre of the ring, fight one more round. When your arms are so tired that you can hardly lift your hands to come on guard, fight one more round. When your nose is bleeding and your eyes are black and you are so tired you wish your opponent would crack you one on the jaw and put you to sleep, fight one more round – remembering that the man who always fights one more round is never whipped."
James Corbett

We should have re- signed Brendan Dillon. He had size, good shot, and skill, and very physical. He intimidates other players.

Helle has a .758 SP% on the road, as another poster stated, and you can’t win like that. Helle has to step up his game, or will be knocked out fast.

Hard to believe with a Vezina winning goalie, we’d have this problem, but we do.

Toninato was the most physical player out there.
Lowry must be hurt because he did get involved
This cannot happen to them but it will.
PT curse, not built for playoffs and refs hate them

Tough matchup. Neither Dallas or Colorado are overly physical teams. Minnesota would have been grittier. Calgary might have been worse although I don't think their coach would be as predatory.

A lot of people on here saw the Blues as an easy out. I didn't think they would be.

Get to the playoffs and it's who can grind it out. Make fewer mistakes. Who can adjust to what other teams are trying to do. I think Arniel has done well with this team. He's not the one who made them fragile in close games. That's the players on the ice. But he's had them prepared for the next game.
