Good news the Jets won the analytics department.

Is he actually banned? Or just MIA

I thought he was MIA but when I click on his profile it says "This user's profile is not available." and someone posted earlier of his posts on calgarypuck.com so I assume the ban hammer got him.

If Scheifele can't play in game 7...or if he plays and he looks less than 70-80%, I have zero faith the Jets will win the game. A good centreman who plays 20 min or so minutes per night can do so much to help a team dictate play while on the ice.

Sadly Chevy and the Jets organization have only drafted and developed one top-six centreman in 14 years and that was in the first year of the club. As a result they are stuck with a 3rd liner posing as a first line centreman in Namestnikov - a guy who can't even score 40 points in a season.

There is multiple things that have gone wrong for this team. From injuries, the refs, dirty hits, bad decisions, and Appleton. However, it all starts with Hellebuyck being required to play better than the crap he has displayed so far.

He has another chance on Sunday to correct what he has largely caused. If he corrects it, he can put this all behind him going in to round 2. If he doesn't, he'll be branded and prove that what his critics said was all true.
I think, unfortunately, it's not something Hellebuyck can control himself right now. He tried to make adjustments and it just made everything worse. Now he's second guessing himself and his confidence is shot. There's no way to will himself back to normal. He's completely on tilt and it's not something he can fix without a full reboot (over the summer with his personal goalie coach, probably).

I blame the team in front of Helle. He let in maybe two that he could have had but three were full on screens.
I don't. Helle has been brutal. For 3 years in a row.

I think we made the mistake the Canucks made with Luongo. They made Lu captain with a huge contract and he was the focal point. Even though the Cancuks had a phenomenal team. LA destroyed them in the 1st round one year. Then Boston beat them in the finals where Luongo looked really shaky. Luongo was never a big game guy.

Goalies can't be the focal point. They just don't Need the extra pressure.

That's what we have now with Helle. His confidence is shattered. Comrie looked quick and ready. Helle looked shaky the entire time.

We outplayed the Blues for the first 15, and it was only when Helle let in consecuitive goals did we get deflated.

Appleton cost us a game changing goal being offside, ECHL level play. Binnington made key stops.

If Comrie played the entire series just average, we'd have won already. Let that sink in.

I doubt he's playing. Concussions are life changing if he gets rocked again.

I do wonder how much of this is all in their heads because they finished 1st overall?

When you finish first you will obviously believe you are a good / best team, but when you don't have any playoff success to draw on, do you become a very fragile team mentally when things don't go your way or things become difficult?

I know Helly seems to let in a bad goal every game ( but almost every game there are goals the goalies feel they should have had ) , but I have never seen a team that just utterly deflates like the Jets do.

The 3rd pairing needs an adjusting for game 7. Certainly not their fault but Arniel needs to change up D pair 3.
The problem is that Arniel has Schenn as the #5. So the best they could do is Miller-Schenn with Miller on his off side. They galaxy-brained themselves again with the 3rd defense pairing again this year.

Appleton comment... Tell me you didnt watch the game without saying you didnt watch the game

100%. The full blame on Helly is insane. Everyone needs to be better. Time for that 10% better that they all talked about during exit interviews in 2024 to show themselves.
we've been down two top 6 fowards majority of this series and now are without our #1 center, this team has played 1 bad game from start to finish in this series

game 1 helle was bad
game 2 helle was good
game 3 whole team and helle was bad
game 4 first half was good until weak goals killed momentum
game 5 helle made some good saves but also gave up a weak goal that allowed them to tie the game
game 6 exactly the same as game 4

watching other games and teams give up way more chances then the jets give up but their goalies make these saves and don't give up the weak goals on top of it

We would probably have atleast two cup appearances in the last 7 years if we had a competent goalie in that time. No one here ever wanted to blame him back then but they have no problem doing it now. In the past he was 'okay' but he was never great. He never stole any games and you need that to be a cup winner. What's worse is when we're putting on pressure the other team and dominating, they come back and score a weak one demoralizing our team.
