This is the old 55/81. Playing like they used to instead of what got us here this year. I thought they were terrible considering they are supposed to be our best.
Jets as a whole have not been good the past two games and are barely challenging Binnington. The Blues just have to throw shit on net and they get a goal; we do that, and the routine saves are made.brutal f***ing effort. other than line-1 the offense sucks. namestnikov, nino, perfetti, lowry, appleton...just lol. i know i was clamoring for a middle-6F upgrade even when this team was healthy.
when vilardi comes back he goes to line-1 likely, but will iafallo being subbed down improve the offense the other ~40 mins line-1 ain't out there
also this team continues to be shit in protecting & clearing their net. & on the other side i felt we barely ever created havoc or commotion in their grill. Hellebuyck also has not been good for a supposed MVP goalie. i know for me the 4 Nations tournament instilled a glimmer of hope for me but probably read in that way to much.
Man wtf the last 2 games.
we would have been swept if it weren't for those 2, they have their guys finishing every single check every chance they get on them, blaming those 2 when we have 8 other players not bringing anything at all is insane... how bout this, our middle six actually creates chances ozone time finishes their checks before we blame the 2 players that have been 90% of our offense
If 55is going to be furious, it should start with a look in the mirror. He knew there was going to be a physical response against him going on the road, and as always this seems to crater our team
just so lazy to blame those 2 guys, they ain't mcdavid/drai they can't do it all themselves they need some support, like our big 3rd line hasn't even finished any checks
