Blues 2024-2025 Prospect Thread

lol, fair enough. Would still like to see video of it though.
At first, when he went down, I thought maybe he hit his head on the ice or he may have caught his stick after he hit the ice when it came around. Neither was the case. Just the way he was taking off the ice and how he was acting, I thought oh boy this is gonna hurt him in his draft position potentially. I immediately thought he acted like he had a concussion or something. To come out later and score with an excessive celebration, I just thought that was kind of low class. If I were the referee, then I might’ve rang him up on something ridiculous and then call him misconduct on him. To me that’s just bush league.

I watched some highlights on him and he is skilled, but kind of a showboat drama queen. Maybe he’ll grow out of that. For his sake, I hope so.

Springfield putting up a good fight against Providence

2-1 winner in the first game
1-0 loser Game 2

Ellis with 2 fantastic performances
The deciding Game 3 is tomorrow in Providence at 2pm. I for one can pretty much guarantee I’ll miss at least the 1st period. 🤓

I would bring up two players that played very well. Dvo was very calm cool and collective holding on to the puck and looking for something to do with it. That was huge for the T-birds. Schoenemann also was very strong in the playoff games. I don't think he lost a board battle. Very creative on the outlet.

  • Team building for Brynäs for the upcoming season is in full swing. Jakob Silfverberg and captain Johan Larsson will remain while young talent Theo Lindstein is leaving for the NHL.
  • Brynäs sports director Johan Alcén has his wish list pretty clear. Among other things, he is in talks with Tyler Vesel and Greg Scott about contract extensions.
  • But a question mark is which goalkeeper besides Erik Källgren will wear Brynäs' colors next season.

Makes sense. He’s easily ready to transition to N.A. hockey. My hope is he comes over here for Prospects Camp in July and never leaves. Adds another 5+ lbs of muscle. He’s been playing on 200x100 ice over there so had more area to defend. But the game here, he has less space to defend but also less space to operate. More net front work and strength will be needed for leverage in physical battles.

Excellent news. Thanks for finding this.

A year in Springfield, time in the weight room and he should be a Blue.

Real talk Lindstein needs to get over here now. After we win game 7, we are arguably one more injury on D from him being the best option in line

I've seen enough from Lindstein to feel like he'd be able to swim as an injury call-up next season in a bottom-pairing role. I think his game is going to translate very well, and I wouldn't be at all to see him get some NHL minutes in his first year in NA.

I’d agree. I want him in the AHL for almost all of next season but it also wouldn’t hurt at all for him to get 4-5 games in the NHL to truly see that pace of game so he truly knows what level he needs to get to for the 2026-27 season.

Camp will be a nice test for him. Has he had one with us yet? I can't recall if he had since I know Europe's schedule typically starts when we are still in camp. Have pre-season games paired with Parayko and see how he performs.

He has not since as you mention, since the SHL season starts sooner, he hasn’t attended main training camp yet or gone to the Prospects Showcase. Both will be good for him this September.

for whatever reason, it's not letting me directly respond to the comment i'm contextualizing (pg. 124, #3092-5).

sk hockey fan here, lots of connections to the raiders org. not sure on the exact nature of the cut that mrsic got from the high skate, but the reason he was held out after the incident (and the reason he wears the tinted visor) was his concussion history - it wasn't directly stated to me by the guys i know in the organization, but it was heavily implied that he got another one from the skate. really, really shitty to see them pile up because tommy is a great kid (and, more importantly for yall, could be a really solid nhl player).

Appreciate you comment and for sharing that. Wasn’t aware of the concussion history or that being the reason for the tinted visor…but it makes sense. Perron did that.

Would suck if he suffered another concussion from that play…but would also make sense as he was quite literally kicked right in the face. Hopefully the cut wasn’t too bad.

For those that haven’t seen it, here it is:

Dvorsky and Slovakia face off with Sweden tomorrow at 12:20pm. Unfortunately their game is the same time as USA so NHL network will probably be showing their game.
