Craig Button released his NHL prospects ranking for all affiliated prospects. It’s definitely a “what-have-you-done-for-me-recently” list from where I stand. But that means he gives huge props to Jimmy Snuggerud.

Blues players:
#9: Jimmy Snuggerud
#21: Dalibor Dvorksy
#24: Theo Lindstein
Lindstein rated above Nemec. That’s…an opinion alright. I am a little surprised Nemec hasn’t stuck in the NHL yet though.

Can’t say I agree with Button’s list much but his list being so vastly different from Pronman, Wheeler etc I think goes to show that it’s really hard to say at this point in their development who is all going to be better than the others. Lots of differing opinions out there.

From what Lindstein has said, the player is pushing to come over and club has not yet decided.
Interesting I had only read that he wants to but hadn’t seen anything saying the Blues thoughts on it, just figured the whole thing would wait until the offseason. I would be pretty shocked if the Blues didn’t want him over here getting acclimated to the NA game and his future teammates.

You don’t have to be elite to project to being quite a bit better than Gunnarsson…
Gunnarson was a reliable top 4 guy for the majority of his career, not a whole lot of offense but a little more earlier on in Toronto but was was dependable in his own zone and could make good outlet passes. I don’t think it’s an unfair comparison from what I’ve seen in Lindstein, quiet dependable top 4 guy who doesn’t put up many points is the future I see for him. Obviously would love for him to hit another level and maybe find some offense but other than the WJC last year I haven’t really seen anything that would lead me to believe he could. It does happen from time to time but normally guys who have never put up points at any level don’t start doing so in the NHL. Just pointing out I think Gunnarson is a solid comparison, obviously would love him to hit a higher ceiling but wouldn’t be upset with a Gunnarson type either from a very late 1st round pick
