interesting. Sarnia was on a 5 on 3 and high sticked a guy with 8 seconds left in their penalty to Mews, so he actually had to stay iin the box while it remained 5 on 3, then one of their guys just slashed Fischer in the back of the legs and Fischer whirled on him and gave him what for, then they went into the box, where the Sudbury player continues to mock Fischer's large nose, mocking his appearance. Fischer is going to get out of the box and beat the guy's face in here soon!

... and Snuggy also has two goals in the first period against Notre Dame

Fischer can take off skating. It's like Parayko

When Broberg and Lindstein are solidified on the left side, it will be Fischer and Ralph battling for that third pairing spot, unless our coaching staff feels comfortable moving one of them to the right side. Either way, our future on defense looks bright.

Jiricik just had a sick assist on the GWOTG. Thanks for telling me I could watch on Youtube! Saw the last like 2 minutes of OT!
Same, caught the last 10 mins of the 3rd and then OT.

Some questionable plays from Jiricek, but that was a beautiful little assist he had there on the game winner.

Thanks for the heads up! Didn’t love jiricek’s play on that 4th Oshawa goal.
Jiricek looks a long way from NHL. Super thin. Many of his defensive zone reads (and this may be still adjusting to smaller ice) are highly questionable. But then you see him make the play on game winner and it's like, yeah, even most drafted guys can't do that. So while it's gonna be a few years before he is ready to help us, his upside is through the roof.

If I counted correctly, there are 38 regular season games remaining for the Thunderbirds. That's a good amount of games for Stenberg to have before next summer. If they make the playoffs, then he'll play even more.

I've always thought Dvorsky and Stenberg would complement each other well. Can't wait to see what they can do together in Springfield. This was a really great move and I think will enhance both players development.

Just to not get ahead of ourselves, Buchinger, Gaudet, Dickinson, and Laferriere put up gawdy numbers in juniors too. It’s encouraging to say the least, but it may or may not translate to the next level.

Broberg-Parayko
Lindstein-Jiricek
Ralph-Fischer

is a ridiculous potential d core in the next 2-3 years filled with size, skill, speed and physicality.

I think Quentin Burns also has some potential and as a bonus can play either side on D.

Will McIssac has sleeper potential as a RHD. He plays a very mature game, skates well and doesn't mind getting physical at all. I was most impressed in camp with his passing, especially long stretch passes in transition tape to tape. Did it a number of times.

I think there may be a few others that have NHL potential such as Buchinger and Loof but they will make way for the guys listed above.

Personally I think Fischer could wind up the best of him Ralph and Jiricek....and thats not taking anything away from them. I just see Fischer having massive upside potential. Still raw and a long way to go but top 4 top end is there.
