I was bored, so here are some of my prospect comps

Dvorsky - Kopitar
Stenberg - Steen
Lindstein - smaller Petro
Pekarcik - bigger and better Sobotka
Snuggerud - Hoffman
Ralph - Polak

Feel free to add more

Everyone is focusing on your Dvorsky comp, but I'm rather interested in the Snuggerud comp? God, I hope Snuggy isn't going to turn out as one-dimensional as Hoffman.

Well, what makes you say this?

He plays a very smart game and has the skills required to be a top line defender. I’m no way saying this is set in stone as he plays a passive style of game that will hinder him if he keeps it up. But are you saying this because you don’t see the talent or ability? Or is it because that’s a more reasonable expectation of any player?
To me Pietrangelo is one of the best ever Blues to lace them up, had a top 5 draft pedigree, and during his Blues tenure he would be in the conversation for the best player on the ice any given night.

While Lindstein is showing solid signs of development, to be on a Pietrangelo trajectory he would already need to be regarded as the Blues current best prospect above Dvorsky, this board had him(Lindstein) rated #3. In addition, Lindstein was left off a ton of league-wide top 100 prospect lists as well. Pietrangelo at the same age would be a top 10 prospect on those lists.

Im excited about Lindstein in general, but im tempering expectations to a solid 2-way middle pairing Dman, who has a long career, and can put up 25-35 pts regularly. Albeit an important player, no where close to a Pietrangelo-type impact player.

Somebody who watches him regularly aren’t too impressed with his 2 way game. I hope they’re wrong.

We're less than an hour away from Game 1 of the St. Louis Blues Prospect Showcase.

Here are the lineups for the opening game of the tournament between SVK and SWE:

Snuggerud is a better two way player than Hoffman and will be a better 5v5 player as well. I don't think it's a great comp but for comparison's sake Snuggy is closer to Tarasenko than he is to Hoffman.

Dvorsky on wing?
That’s the part that stuck out to me too. Not really familiar with Jencko other than he’s an undrafted freshman at UMass. Oh well. Maybe Jencko did well as their #1 C in the tuneup games Dvorsky missed so they’re sticking with that for now but I would be a bit surprised if Dvorsky doesn’t find his way back to C eventually in this tourney.

It's a shame that Slovakia, Sweden and Czech are all in the same pool... would've like to see a final consisting of 2 of those teams.

Give me US vs any of those 3

I’m not surprised. Kaski handles a lot of his defensive responsibility so Dvo can play offense. He is just an average skater, but has a Vladi Hull type cannon of a shot. That’s their best weapon.
