I was caught by surprise when I caught the game and saw the investments to the Apex Center. Not only does the name rights give them some cash but to really get out there in the short off season and make those nice improvements to the seating should give the fan base in the region some confidence that this is a commitment to make a very enjoyable experience to not only hockey but other events as well. Way too often the Fed has placed teams in subpar arenas "rec rinks" and you just knew or had a gut feeling this franchise or market is already doomed. I certainly thought that about the Bobcats. Years ago thought same thing when the United League announced a team in Danbury's arena.
Last seasons attendance numbers for the Bobcats wasn't all together too bad. I thought they were pretty good for a rodeo rink masquerading as a minor pro hockey arena. Saturday without knowing the off season's investments I was pretty caught off guard, I was actually excited lol (I get excited easily now in my 50s) for the fans down there, the arena looks really decent, they did a good job at getting the expanded seating in there. The sight lines actually appear to be better with what appears to be steeper seating, any Bobcat regulars on here to add your two cents, and photos?
