has speed but nothing else. Reminds me of Luis Mendoza of the Mighty Ducks films lolMcKegg is making me nauseous
He looks like he has gotten much better and instinctively recognizing when to hold his spot and shade over to back check versus continuing forward to push a forecheck or compete for a loose puck. Helps a lot with their possession and zone control. Adjusting to NHL play and speed.Great backcheck on that shift too
No it’s a tactic that the advanced stats guys haven’t figured out yet. Staal is a genius ahead of his time.
Lundqvist is a great goalie but he's the old generation
These young goalies are great at everything. Poke check, playing the puck, passing even
It's as if you have a 6th skater on the ice
Going back to your last reply in the closed thread.
I appreciate #30 as much as anyone but it's time to pass the torch.
If Leetch can get traded, so can Lundqvist.
We have two young goalies that are playing lights out for pennies on a dollar.
That $8.5 could go a long way on building up the FWD depths.
I’m comfortable saying that his defense is on an elite level right now. He just dominates nearly every shift and the puck seems to follow himWithout checking, I'm guessing the numbers say Mika is slightly above average divisively. My eyes say he's close to elite.
It’s funny/interesting too because you can see him always looking around and trying to predict where the play is going to develop. He’s such a smart kid on the ice and all he needs right now is some confidence and a smidge of selfishness. He looks like he has gotten much better and instinctively recognizing when to hold his spot and shade over to back check versus continuing forward to push a forecheck or compete for a loose puck. Helps a lot with their possession and zone control. Adjusting to NHL play and speed.
