For a team that can be so good at times, we can be just as bad in our coverage. Need to look up the stats if they even exist…. But we have to give up more wide open, completely uncontested high danger chances than the next 10 teams combined. My gosh we just completely miss and leave players wiiiiiiiiiiiide open.

Canes almost never have teams failing this badly on their defensive coverage. No one is as bad as us at this kind of thing….

Very few teams play man defense in this league. When it's played right it's hard to break down. But when we f*** up like Burns has been doing tonight we get this.

Yeah and it's not like the analytics are any better, where they show him being a legitimately terrible defenseman this year. 4th most offensive zone turnovers in the league this year, over twice as many more as the 2nd most on the Canes this year. He's a boat anchor getting 1st line minutes and it's actively hurting us nightly.

Yeah as much as we rag on KK for being a problem for the roster, Burns has quietly become our biggest. There's no place to put him that doesn't hurt, so we play him where it hurts the least and kneecaps arguably our best player. And it's not like we can bench him with the ironman streak ongoing.

I’m not convinced that’s actually happening. There were no whistles after the powerplay until like 30 seconds left.

Maybe it is, but that changes had more to do with that at the time.
