GDT: Blue Jacket vs Capital 6pm (Clinch? + R1 adversary?)

Lindgren with another Primeau-like performance.
.842 save percentage. Brutal. 7th consecutive game where he's had below .896 save percentage. Against the NYI (Ovechkin goal game), he had a .818 save percentage. Lmao

At that rate, he's going back to the AHL.

Yet they start paying him what we pay Monty to be our #1 next year on a 3 year deal 😬

You watching the game? Let’s be honest who deserves it most from what you’ve seen ?
who deserves it most? WHO DESERVES IT MOST?????

We look at 82 games in a season, not the last few right before
Well...they did play without Jenner most season. That's really important for them. You add Monahan and Jenner. You lose Gaudreau.....that's a great story for them to go in....and not undeserving.

Caps with 75% on the deserve to win meter. The Jackets goalie is keeping them in it, 20 shots in 50 minutes in a do or die isn't exactly unbelievable

Who gives a shat. Teams that don't deserve to be in get in all the time;. Florida didn't deserver to be in the playoffs and they won the Cup.
And so did we when we hit the finals, doesn’t mean we won’t get in, just saying the Blue Jackets, as crap as they have been all year long, have lifted their game when they needed to, our hockey when times are desperate is disappointing. All I’m saying.

Exactly. We're still in the driver's seat. Win & you're in. Columbus is 5 points back of us, but somehow they "deserve" it more? Ridiculous.

If Montreal can't beat Chicago in Montreal then we can talk about it.
We are in the driver's seat, in that lately we're one of those GTA V NPC's who isn't moving and whose head is laying on the horn

Well, anyone else here have ZERO faith that MSL will do the right thing with his lineup tomorrow?

Demidov replaces Pezzetta but on a 4th line and Savard stays in the lineup and Matheson continues to play 30 minutes a game. Let's not talk about starting Matheson in the OT when your best puck handler on D is Hutson. Yes, Matheson can skate but in a straight line with the puck otherwise its turnover city!

Sadly I fear you have it right.

Time to get 9 shots against the Hawks and make them look like contenders now, with Pezzetta the scrub in the lineup of course cause peewee Marty probably won’t risk playing the young phenom with game breaking talent before they clinch.

Such a huge risk, I’m terrified just thinking about it.

The last few games are unique in that they're the defining difference between if we make the playoffs or not. Averaging under 19 shots a game over 4 games is not overly inspiring.
They aren't if you choke your playoff spot away horribly like how the Jackets did, they had no reason to lose their spot with reinforcements coming and where they were at the deadline.

And if Laine didn't destroy his knee in preseason, we might have an extra win or two meaning we aren't even watching this game.

Agreed.

Though I have to say, if any team was going to beat us for the last spot, frankly CBJ is a rare case where I'd feel good for them. Monahan left a very positive mark, they've got some exciting young players performing well, and if course the Gaudreau tragedy... Pretty impressive how that group has rallied through a ton of adversity and defied the odds to be in it with 3 games to go. The sport fan in me appreciates that a lot.

They are if you choke away your playoff spot horribly like we may well be in the midst of doing
