Marve was unreal, he should be #2 based on the little I saw of him. He got the ball out quick. He made his read and made a quick decision, I thought he might have been staring at the intended target abit long but I like everything else.

I thought Willy was really locked in as well. I'm going to say this was due to new offense and this game being so damn early in pre-season. Hope that all the QB's can develop and stop being so locked in.

Also Bauming has been pumping Marve's tires since Florida camp. He is also 4 years younger than any other QB on roster at just 24 (most QB's don't come to CFL until 26/27 and don't start until 28/29 so that's a huge leg up).

At this point I'd vote for Marve as #2. IMO Hall and Brohm won't bring much more than we've already seen, while Marve has huge upside.

Agreed.

I thought Willy looked fine. And Marve brings a little different look. He can play. I don't hold much hope for either Brohm or Hall to win many games in the CFL. Maybe in a backup role on a very deep and talented team like Saskatchewan, Calgary or Toronto.

Willy and Marve seem to be the future. Light years ahead of where they were with Goltz and Hall.

Hey Willy, what's with wearing grandma's gardening gloves?

PS Makes you look like a wimp!

Marve should be the clear #2 at this point IMO. He seemed very comfortable out there, like he belonged and this wasn't his first pro-snaps.

D looked pretty good through the second half, forced some turnovers...granted this is playing without any of T.Os real offensive weapons. they got torn apart by the run earlier in the game, but definitely locked it up. Receiver core was a nice surprise.

It was interesting to read about Marve's history he has no ACL at all in one of his legs which was obviously a huge concern for NFL teams.I think it will take him a while to learn the cfl game but I agree by the end of the year I hope he is the back up pushing Willy.

Liked what i saw last night. Marve looked unreal, Willy looked good, but inconsistent (Missed a lot of easy passes), Hall looked unspectacular and Brohm was ****ing garbage.

Marve Favre confirmed for future Grey Cup MVP.

IMO it goes as you guys have said: Willy/Marve/Hall

The defense however, was embarrassing.

Wouldn't read much into strategy on either side of the ball or playcalling.

It was ultimate vanilla. Neither team has had a lot of time to install anything other than the basics and it was purposefully vanilla for evaluation purposes. Pre-season football.

Not very impressed with the tailbacks, receivers and defensive players generally. Cotton looked real good, smart cuts, one cut and get upfield, the way you churn out solid yards. Not sure what Grigsby's college team ran, but he looked clueless behind zone blocking, he made really poor reads and cut right into traffic. Lots of drops and routes that weren't finished. Hard to evaluate the QB's when for the most part the receivers looked like garbage, along with the OL after the starting group that Willy played with, that group had 3 imports, and the Bombers probably can't start more than 2 in the regular season with the lack of Canadian depth.

Only new DB's I liked were Leggett and Bruce Johnson. The Argos didn't test Randle and picked on Suber noticeably when more starters were in.

Thought the Bombers had rid themselves of all of Mack's midget pint sized DB's that couldn't cover a good US high school receiver!

I don't understand how Suber is still here. Dude has been garbage for like 2 seasons now and probably will be for a third.

Hopefully Leggett or someone can take the job away from him.

How was the 1st quarter since I missed it all

OLine has been garbage.

The defensive tackling has been even worse.

Willy looks composed. Cotton has broke a couple of runs, real elusive with the ball. I'm hearing it's his pass protection that is questionable though. Jaymar Johnson has been the top WR, made a couple nice catches. Donavon Kemp has two drops.

Looks like the same old problems with the Bombers, but Willy is showng some promise if his receivers can make a few more catches. The OLine though, tsk, tsk.
