I mean. Neither G has ever been a tried and true #1, right?

So to expect either to run the other one out of the building seems….illusionary.

Prime Holtby isn’t in the house. Hell, prime anyone from our Top Dog past.

If one of them makes under 35 starts, it’ll be bc of injury.
I have a feeling Thompson grabs it and runs with it.

(But I'm a terrible judge of talent)

It’ll be interesting to see the dynamic, wrt the goalie personalities.

Everyone has always loved Side Burns. He’s in the center of the room.

Thompson seems to have a chip on his shoulder (mostly re: Vegas, it seems), so I wonder how he will be regarded in the room (and DuBois, and Chychrun).

Minus Oshie minus Backstrom (no Kuz, which is fine).

Wilson, Carlson, and of course Ovechkin set the team tone. Then…Chucky, Dowd, Strome, …. And I’ve read good things about Duhaime, Roy, and Mangie in how they handle the room.

Interesting chemistry experiment.

In the end Ovy’s shadow pretty much overlords everything else …. Which isn’t a bad thing.

I have been very pleasantly surprised with how good Ovechkin looks.

Wild speculation: Season's gonna have its ups and downs, but an actually motivated Ovie in decent shape implies he's going for the goal record this year.
He's never let us down before! Count me in for 50 this year.
