Not happy about most of that game. They were killing themselves with turnovers against their speed.
But the top line was the best line for either team all game, and that was a huge surge after going down late against maybe the best defensive team in hockey to pull out a huge win.
Even bigger that the boys did it for Matty at the end.
Not a great win but a f***ing gutsy one.

Matthews looked fine and even if he isn’t fine I’m a believer in load management, give him a game or two to just take it all in.
Getting two points against this team with Mrazek (who was very good) is the graviest of gravy.
Carolina is f*** scary though, but not invincible- quite many breakdowns when they should have cleared.

They stayed in the fight, clawed back to get a tiny one goal margin but gave up that leaky one to start the third. Didn’t appear to get rattled letting that 3rd goal in and finished the job. Big win.
