Blake is out

I’m wondering if there’s some sort of “keep a level head on the ice” policy. Laffy was called out by Hiller at one point by taking a bad penalty which was him retaliating on a hit, I believe. Lots of non-reactions against the Oilers also. I don’t know if players refuse to lay hits to avoid scrums and take penalties and get chewed out by the coaching staff. Whatever it is, it’s frustrating as shit. From 09-10 all the way to 1st year of Blake’s regime, the Kings were top 10 in hits. After that, they fell off the list consistently.

Everytime Jesse posts have you guys noticed it's just always alluding to something else? Lol. Either he's messing with us a lot or he's truly the King of disinformation.

OR every time I say something it's almost deliberately misinterpreted so I gave up trying to make any sense to anyone but myself

Now

Go ahead and make this about anything other than what I literally said.

Gonna have to correct you on this one, because that didn't happen.

Kings threatened Blake with a trade if he didn't re-sign for $7.5M per year.

Blake's agent, Ron Salcer, was asking for Chris Pronger money worth $9.6M per year.

Final Kings offer was for $8M per year at five years, $40M.

After winning the Cup, the Avs re-signed Blake for exactly what he was looking for, a five year, $48 million contract at $9.6M per year.

I remember that a little different.
Blake indeed was traded but blocked the trade with his clause.
Then he walked for nothing.

This is why the fans call him the traitor

Honestly Jesse, I respect you even your beard, however I think you seem to think you get misinterpreted a lot. I think you try to say something without really saying anything so it just opens the door to interpretation. It happens usually with you exclusively so maybe you can try to be a bit more grounded with your statements imo. Unless you’re the god of disinformation lol.

You sometimes come off as that kind of person who says “oh wow that’s what you think??” and then you’re kind forced to speculate since you don’t ever really elaborate lol

Sometimes. Sometimes I say very explicitly what I think and then I see people take the opposite. Some of that is on me. Some of that is just on the quirks of communicating on the internet and frankly some of it (in my opinion) is on specific individuals. IN ADDITION.... I happen to know for a fact that SOME of the stuff I say on here gets repeated back to some other people which is why I sometimes make references to being tattled on (you know who you)

SO...

I'm not in a position to fight with people or piss them off anymore (I used to love it) for multiple reasons so now when I get the itch to say something specific I say it in a way that I know will make ZERO sense to most people.

On twitter it's usually about Star Wars.

It scratches the itch in my brain that wants to say something I can't and I'm reasonably certain most people won't know wtf I'm talking about.

I've said it before and I'll say it again... I may not always say the full truth of what I'm thinking but I will not lie about it.

If you see me or hear me say something it's what I think/feel/believe.

All due respect to a bunch of strangers I've never met before (most of you)... I'm fine with that.

I've given up trying to convince anybody of anything.
Maybe it's the cancer... but my priorities have shifted and what I used to care about is not as important to me as it used to be.

(yes I mention it a lot... it makes me feel better and it's a great rhetorical cudgel to club people with)

I don't think it's a bad thing at all. And I don't think you're lying at all. I think you're saying X isn't Y but without usually elaborating on why that is the case. And that's fine. I just happen to notice you do it more frequently. And obviously @tonellisghost I dont know if that guy is around. But he always had the most unbelievable insider information about the Kings with great detail but I think that was before your time with the Kings. Does anyone know whatever happened to TonellisGhost? He was so knowledgable. Miss the guy.

At the end of the day I hope things are going better with you. I don't think you owe any explanation, just a funny quirk I noticed about your posting style.

AND Revenge of the Sith was the best starwars movie, and Phantom Menace was awesome too.

Strong disagree.
Im sorry, but seeing Anakin's transformation is probably the best part of the entire series and nothing else comes close to it. Especially when you consider the deleted scenes. Qui Gon Jinn was the best part of the entire franchise.

You ever see the movie Whiplash?

Way better way to tell the story of the downfall of a talented young man tortured by his own ambition at the hands of a psychotic mentor.

Spoilers if you haven't already seen it I guess.

Interestingly... everybody I've ever talked to in pro sports that has seen that movie sees Fletcher as the hero of the movie not the villain.

Which I suppose is what makes the movie so interesting.... anyway watch Whiplash.

I hate it when we agree…

Sith… definitely the best and the Phantom Menace was definitely better than people give it credit for. People complaining about the ‘wooden acting’ in that part of the saga 1-3 seem not to have been paying attention in the first three movies.

I think we all agree 7-9 sucked.

I liked 7-9 as movies by themselves, but as a trilogy its a complete mess and patently obvious they were making it up as they went along. A missed opportunity to be sure.

The Kings sure could use a coach like that. Imagine what he’d get out of Byfield. I see that John Tortorella is available…

It turned out to be a $9M per year deal with the Avs.

He was offered more money by the reigning champions, fresh off their win than by the overachieving team he once played for who got into contract disputes with just about every player at that time. And somehow, no one can figure out the common denominator.
