I just like movies and books. Not really into leggings, personally.

And I still play hockey 3 times a week or more.

Idk, the Bluc stuff is a little exhausting at this point, especially when we are all waiting to hear any real news or development. That said, I can see why this thread could get annoying, prolly should be in the movies/TV thread. But I think all involved will somehow survive.

I’m glad we’re talking about random shit for the summer tbh. There’s not much to discuss with simple jack running hockey Ops.


On that note, Revenge of the sith is by far the best. And I think anyone who talks shit about Phantom Menace simply haven’t seen it more than a couple times.

The prequels are terrible and the only good thing that came out of them are the Red Letter Media videos. The new trilogy is so bad too, I don't know what the hell they were thinking. The only good show is Andor. The Mandalorian was good but they f***ed that one up too.

All in all, there is so much more bad than good content that any sort of Star Wars reverence is long gone. It's slop.

What's the LA fanbase's take on Robitaille as President?

I'm a Robitaille fan from his playing days (I go back to 1986-87), and my general impression would be that he seems ideal for his 2007 role as "president of business operations" -- which sounds like a Meet-and-Greet kind of symbolic thing -- but that he might lack the tough grit needed to be a real executive, i.e., "President".

Not sure about Rob Blake. He seemed to have a solid enough pedigree to be a GM, but obviously ZERO playoff series wins in EIGHT YEARS is pretty atrocious. So, he's out...

There's always that concern when an ex-player executive hires his ex-teammate to be manager....

So, how do most LA fans feel about Robitaille now that Blake is gone? Has Luc's image been severely tarnished, or can it still be mended?

As the saying goes in The Dark Knight: you either die a hero, or you live long enough to become the villain.

Luc's elevated role has damaged the favor and goodwill he had with Kings fans.

His coup of ousting Lombardi and promoting his unqualified buddies is a big reason for the general mediocrity of the team.

In all seriousness, I think Luc will always get a cheer when he's around because he was a fan favorite as a player. I think where people don't like Luc now is his connections and loyalty to certain people within the hockey world I.E. Bergevin and Pat Brisson and former teammates. I think most other people also don't see Luc as a Hockey Mastermind and he's now in this spot where he has a say on building the roster when he never had that experience before.

Knowing AEG I don't think they'd ever consider firing Luc because he's really likeable and charismatic and obviously still a fan favorite. I think its possible one day they might separate him from any hockey operations role if things continue to go south.

Since Luc and boo sound identical in a large crowd, we may never know the answer to your question.. I would assume any LAK fan with modicum of hockey knowledge thinks he's doing serious damage to the franchise and needs to get the hell out of the way.
