GDT: Blackhawks vs Wings again ... but on their ice

Anywhere in the top 10 is good for them to take a defenseman. Obviously prefer a top 3-5 pick where they can draft an impact talent that can contribute next year. Right now a mock draft has them taking Noah Dobson, who I think some in the prospect thread seem to like.

Noah Dobson is a very good prospect, cool under pressure and power play QB would love to have that player

The great thing is, they don't need to purposely tank. Just keep Q around the rest of the season, and let it take care of itself. This team is defeated. The commentary from the broadcasters last night says it all. The bench had no life, in a close game, at home, in what is basically a must win situation. The kids will continue to bring it, because they're playing for roster spots and contracts. The "core" will continue to suck, because they're done with this coaching staff. Win win.

They will probably need 100 points to make the playoffs in the Western Conference this season. That ain't happening.

The bench may have been quiet, doesn't mean the Hawks were that bad - they weren't. Same as Tuesday, the goalie stole the game for ops. That said, it definitely is related to Hawks players not being able to finish, but were also snake bitten. I won't be surprised if they still challenge for a PO spot, despite Q. Like they have done for years.
