Why would it? If Minten keeps producing, it means we don't have to get a 3C.... and Kampf remains our 4C.

Seriously, arguing for the sake of arguing now.
If you are the person that is always arguing over something you are the problem. It’s so frustrating dekes always needs to argue for sake of arguing. They are always intervening with their 2 cents.

I'd rather see Rifai in, than Myers...

Maybe it won't look good four years from now.. but OEL at $3.5 mil for a four years is looking pretty genius right now.

A better record would always be a better point percentage. A better record is not always more points. There is no debate here. Not only is points percentage more representative, it is established fact that it's what the NHL goes by.
That's the NHL's definition, not mine.
Has a Team ever won the Presidents trophy without having the most points?
Has a Team ever won the Presidents Trophy on December 2nd?

Yes, looks like McCabe is out for this one...

I mean, the President's trophy winner has both the most points, and best winning percentage.... It's funny how that works at the end of the year.

Hakanpaa is a joke of player now. Plays 2 games, then goes on IR again. What was the point of that signing? He can’t play because his body has given up on him.
Kind of a genius signing actually. He is either playing or on LTIR. Gives them playoff depth, without having to trade a 3rd come the TDL.

Probably not, because almost all seasons end with every team playing the same number of games. So points and point percentage end up the same.
But when games aren't equal, like the covid season (or right now), point percentage is used, so it's theoretically possible.

Big ogres do best in the playoffs. If we can keep LTIRing him and eventually squeeze a good playoff run out of him I don't mind if he doesn't play much in the regular season.

Hell yeah a Prime game. Can’t believe I’m looking forward to this. Leafs better be on their toes for this, Chicago already took a game from Florida this year, and they swept us last year. Don’t need to hand Soderblom the majority of his wins on the season again, assuming he starts.

Chicago has been a hard team for the Leafs to beat for a few years now. Hopefully that changes tonight, though that Soderblom kid turns into a Vezina winner against them ffs

I agree that in prior years early in the season this would have been a problem for the Leafs. But usually once the season moved into November the Leafs would roll over bad teams (they tended to play Chicago early in the season). As for tonight's game, I expect a pretty boring, low-event, low-scoring game that the Leafs win 3-0 or 4-1.

Why wouldn't you look forward to a Leaf game? I would think everyone here looks forward to every game.

I do look forward to every Leafs game. My post was more of a comment on the quality of broadcast Amazon Prime has given us, which I didn’t expect.

I wasn’t sure what product Prime would give us, if you’d asked me 3 months ago I’d have said I think the Prime broadcast would suck. Now I’m looking forward to the broadcast. The crisp picture, undiluted crowd noise, and professional true neutral play-calling and analysis (unlike Sportsnet) Prime gives us is great.

Hopefully stolarz is able to bounce back from the Florida game

He looked a bit off that game, and this is maybe the second time he’s had a “bad” game so let’s see how he responds to that.

Looking for a win, don’t give a crap if it’s 2-1 or 7-0. Just win the game and play good defence.

He's been playing insane so far to start the season, he is due for some bad games.

He is likely to fall somewhere between what we saw to start the season (a top 3 goalie) and what we saw last game (average to below average).

Hopefully, Woll gets hot to cover for him if he has some bad games.
