Briere has not 'finally got us to bottom out' he was trying to make the playoffs this year. An accidental tank is not the same as doing it with intent, while developing young players. Andrae and Lycksell should have been here all year, they are clearly NHL players. More Phantoms should be been brought up on rotation to see if any of them respond to better skill around them. There is no chance we're in the McKenna sweepstakes next year, they will try to make the playoffs again.

exactly... these guys think this roster is just about down now..

this summer is year 3 of the 3 year rebuild.. plug in 1 or maybe 2 new players thats the " SC contender" roster they chose to build..

C'mon, we're close now, we'll be closer next year. We're 28th and hopefully dropping, the way Buffalo is playing. Briere-Jones are killing it.

Yes this is where we find ourselves at the end of the year. This was not their intention, this was going to be an improvement on last year and get one of those last slots in the playoffs where "anything could happen".

Meanwhile everyone from the outside looks at the team and only sees they regressed, you now have to guess if last year was the norm or this year was the norm. But even if they can achieve the lofty standards of last year they still suck.

As I said yesterday the flyers are going to 150% get a goalie this offseason....which is going to be a horrible pick...whomever it is. If Fedotovs contract = Michkovs escape money, I get it...but this guy cannot be in the nhl next year.

The avatar i've been using all season illustrates Torts thoughts on the goalies, and if he's coming back next season - it aint gonna be what we have now.

This team needs so much, I don't think they even get close to the playoffs next year regardless of what they do in the offseason.

They need a #1C, #1D, #1G, #2C, #2D, #2G, and that aint all!

Cates is going to get paid, and it's going to be a mistake.

Why? The team desperately needs that Mckenna kid. Fedotov is the best goalie for this. Of course if he keeps sucking.
