With the $9.5 bad karma gone,that missing Tank Commander jeopardizes the need to stay as 2nd worst or a chancecto drop to worst ...rise too much and it means maybe even 4th after lotto bad luck may no longer be a secure floor spot .

Cannot afford this team winning too many ...which you have to worry now might happen as Jones is no longer there to counter such a a rise happening..

Bedard was actually flying all over the place in the first period. I started noticing he was not line changing and I swear I saw him out there for 3 different lines that the Ducks put out there for a stretch.

The scary thing about the game is I think the Hawks had 4 danger scoring chances on the Ducks in the first also. It could have been 10 goals.

He's taken huge strides defensively on where to be, just with not being an elite skater, and also not starting with the puck a lot due to faceoffs, It can get into these cycles where it just doesn't happen for him.

Another Bedard slump/drought is definitely not what I was looking forward to first thing after 4 Nations. Main boards are gonna be jumping all over this I’m sure. Just more fuel for all the critics.

Tbh I haven’t watched any of the last 5 games so I have no idea what’s going on with 98, has his performance been as bad as the lack of production suggests?? Or just bad luck?

Glad you mentioned this, because I agree 100%. There has been a ton of growth on his part in this regard this year, which nobody seems to realize.

Regarding his skating, I am actually less concerned than most. He has a good burst, and his top end speed is not bad. I honestly think the biggest thing for him is just endurance. I think as he develops his endurance he is going to seem much faster than he currently is.

Think this was the 3rd straight game I've missed, hate these late starts and this team isn't anywhere near good or entertaining enough to justify staying up for.

How did Bedard look by the eye test? -2 in a 6-3 win with no points looks rough on the state sheet, to say the least.

Only on pace for 22 goals over a full 82 games now as well. Even with this poor roster I still expected a lot more from him this year.

Lafferty has only 5 points this year, not sure Id want him back and I was one of his biggest fans, especially paired w Dickenson on the PK

might be the case that he put too much emphasis on his shot etc and less on some other things that now need to be corrected so perhaps after a few offseasons of training to address the needs (assuming he does what he needs to do) he'll be where he needs to be, still think moving him to wing could get him back on track offensively in the mean time
