For which line?Jack and Bratt are carrying this offense right now. Need atleast another top 6 forward.
Do folks really have bad blood re: Hall? Playoffs, MVP, we moved him, etc. Don’t have to cheer but really no reason to dog him IMO.
Honestly, not signing him to a big deal was such a blessing.
whats our record with Macdermid in the lineup
It wasn't that.Do folks really have bad blood re: Hall? Playoffs, MVP, we moved him, etc. Don’t have to cheer but really no reason to dog him IMO.

Brett Pesce is a gawd
Bill can be repetitive and make mistakes at time, but he does have good call for electric moments.
Not only do I love this, but with Hall in the building? It’s a sign, he’s coming back.
I was not excited about us being in on him because I thought we were looking at the Skjei deal for sure.Pesce is so awesome. Absolute technician. He and Luke fit so well together and I’m certain his mentoring has had a big role in improving Hughes’ defensive play.
Yep, that was it for me. I get that his time here was frustrating with young kids and bad lineups, and he def took the team on his back... But one ounce more grace would have endeared him to the fans instead of leaving a bad aftertaste of a 'guy who hasn't won anything' thinks he's bigger than the logo.It wasn't that.
Back around Halloween of 2019 we had a game where we were playing Tampa (I think?) and it was a wild game where we kept scoring and giving it right back and vice versa. I think the final score was something like 7-6 or 6-5 in OT. Those were really the final days of Cory.
The fans kept booing every time we got scored on and Hall said in the post game that it's hard enough to play against another team when you also have to battle against the fans or something like that.
He scored a goal in the next game and did a Hulk Hogan motion cupping his ears after he scored it, which I think we took as mocking the fanbase after booing the game before.
He's been booed every visit to the building ever since, at least after he was traded. I don't think he was booed for the short remainder of his Devils career after that.
Told you, he is making a push for Hall, after the game.
Nico has all of his boyfriends on the team except for Hall.
Oh I remember mainly because he f’ed up some big calls (no, no the light is not on).Yup. No one remembers how often Gary Thorne fumbled his commentary, but everyone remembers the legendary calls he made on goals.
I was annoyed at that too, but I'd forgive him if we could forgive Holik and Gomez.Yep, that was it for me. Fans chanted MVP and helped you win popularity contest and the only thing you'll ever win. I don't need him back.
I was annoyed at that too, but I'd forgive him if we could forgive Holik and Gomez.
Though I do understand that Holik and Gomez never actually did or said anything to belittle or mock the fans, they just signed with the Rangers.
Zacha like…Nico has all of his boyfriends on the team except for Hall.
It's funny, because not too many years ago there were actually people who were clamoring for Gary Thorne to be brought back here as commentator. Even before Steve left and was replaced by Bill. I think he was still calling Orioles baseball games just a few years back, but they didn't renew his contract or something.Yup. No one remembers how often Gary Thorne fumbled his commentary, but everyone remembers the legendary calls he made on goals.
I’ve done my best to forget he exists since we dumped him
It’s a hard job to do into your 70’s. Doc going full time to NBC after the 2011 season was basically him going into semi retirement and even toward the end there was was basically just doing the big NBC games and playoff games. It's funny, because not too many years ago there were actually people who were clamoring for Gary Thorne to be brought back here as commentator. Even before Steve left and was replaced by Bill. I think he was still calling Orioles baseball games just a few years back, but they didn't renew his contract or something.
He did fill in for the Kings as a guest play by play announcer on one of their road trips in 16-17. That was when Bob Miller was in his final year and was only doing home games.
Gary Thorne is in his late 70s now and almost definitely retired whether that's by choice or not. Especially after ESPN and all their nostalgia with the old song didn't even bring back the Thorne and Clement duo.
I liked Clement, but he's also probably be really rusty at this point after 21 years out of the NHL (outside of those couple of weeks in 2017) and like 4 or 5 years (maybe more?) not calling games anywhere in any sport at all?
I think anyone would have a hard time coming back from that. I think Doc could probably do it, but even he would probably be a little slow getting back into it before finding his stride.
