As I recall, the Hawks won the game in Chicago, but it was close. I'd like to see the reverse this time. Interesting isn't good enough.

My buddy is a hawks fan and they are my 2nd favorite team. We usually go see the game every year when they come to Montreal. Not tonight though and that makes me sad.

_____________

I really like those first 3 lines for Montreal. Pacioretty has shown he can produce with 3rd liners and Shaw has been quite good on the forecheck and will hopefully dig some pucks lose for Danault and Max. This give the 2nd line more firepower by pairing Chucky and Rads along with Lehkonen. Byron on the 3rd line gives us some good scoring depth given how he's produced lately, and Pleks and Gally are certainly capable of being above average 3rd liners.

I'm unsure of the 4th line though - I still don't see what is the best combination to go forward with given our recent acquisitions (we basically have 6 4th liners for 3 spots). Maybe we continue with the rotation to keep the 4th line fresh.

Not the best fourth line we could ice..

Mitchell is redundant if you have Ott in lineup.

Would like either of

King-McCarron-Martinsen

Or

King-Ott-Martinsen

No no no!

Pacioretty won't win the rocket with Danault and Shaw. That line did nothing last game and CJ had to split them.

Pacioretty needs a playmaker on his line, a good passer.

Those first three line is the best lineup we could ice.

For the fourth line, we could do better. Would like Martinsen and McCarron out there.

Mitchell gives us another body for the PK, top 6 is going to need their legs for ES.

Going up against the best team in the league will not be easy, in Price we trust and hopefully Kane did some partying in Montreal. 3-2 Habs OT.

There must be something else behind Beaulieu being scratched. I have more hope in him and Benn than Petry and Emelin these days. Should be fun seeing what Kane will do against those 2.

Julien is just as guilty as Therrien was with his easy scratches. Emelin should be out. Not Beaulieu. Just like King should be out. But vets will prevail. For better or worse.

:help:

Why some coaches can't make the obvious choices ?

You would rather Emelin in our top 4 with Petry then having Beaulieu in the lineup as a bottom pair with Benn?

Emelin's a trainwreck. Let alone having him on the 2nd pair.

Edit: Nevermind, my mistake. Thought you were saying Beaulieu was the obvious scratch over Emelin.

Makes no sense to me either. I can only guess Julien hopes Emelin works through his issues, and King starts adapting to his teammates and role. King is worth some investment so maybe it'll pay off. Emelin... I really don't know anymore...
