I believe Shuri will speak with him and her brother in the plains and that is what seals her becoming the new Black Panther, at least for now until Ta'challa's son maybe. I don't think he will somehow come back and be the new Black Panther.
Yeah, I think the supposed leaked script has that in it. Killmonger isn't suddenly returning to life.
Yup. All this. While it would be more immediately thrilling to have Killmonger be revealed as the new BP and it’s what I would prefer - I don’t see a clean way for this to be accomplished. The much more canon version would be Shuri of course and it totally makes sense to have EK in the astral plane - with Shuri guided in her journey by both him and TC and a BP suit that looks to have taken cues from both.
I also disagree the figure it too muscular to be Letitia Wright…if anything the legs strike me as too thin to be a fully yoked MBJ. Shuri is going to of course go through rigorous training of mind and body to elevate to BP level so if Wright in the suit is made to appear somewhat more physically intimidating that would make sense.
Anyways - this movie looks like it may salvage what has been a really inconsistent Phase 4. I like some of the Disney series and the movie offerings have had some good moments but I can’t help but feel the overload of material has diminished the spectacle of what MCU initially was. Wakanda Forever feels like it is going to be a must see cinematic event - I haven’t felt that was since End Game.
It may be the best produced trailer I’ve ever seen - that alone deserves an award, the way the Marley cover and Kendrick Lamar were mashed was incredible. The film looks gorgeous and emotionally charged, naturally. Namor and Ironheart should be very important characters moving forward. And most importantly I trust Coogler to take what could be a very touchy sequel and turn it into a real stunner.
