Was it ever shown what they did with Killmonger's body? He told BP to throw his body into the ocean so he can be with his ancestors who jumped from the ships, but was that confirmed to have taken place?

If not, they could have Michael B. Jordan take over as Black Panther

Maybe his body was frozen with Wakanda tech, and just before the final act it's revealed that Shuri has figured out how to upload T'Challa's consciousness into Killmonger's body

Or, maybe they threw Killmonger's corpse into the ocean as per his request, and it was revived after being discovered by Namor's people. The experience of being dead causes KM to have a new perspective on life, and he's now worthy of leading Wakanda

Nope to everything. Killmonger literally tried to murder T'Challa's whole family. He is irredeemable.

They've already established an afterlife in the previous Black Panther movie, so Killmonger can return after having spent the last X amount of years learning from T'Challa's father in that afterlife

Man, that redemption was super-easy, barely an inconvenience

I believe Shuri will speak with him and her brother in the plains and that is what seals her becoming the new Black Panther, at least for now until Ta'challa's son maybe. I don't think he will somehow come back and be the new Black Panther.
