I’m very intrigued, considering how f***ed up some of the episodes are. Didn’t get a chance to watch yesterday so we’re gunna get cracking on this season tonight.

In the last half of the episode it's like every other scene had some f***ed up little twist in it. As with most of the actors that come on the show, the two leads were outstanding.

Totally agreed. I had only seen Chris O’Dowd in a comedy role when he was in The IT Crowd, so I was really impressed at his dramatic performance.

The company rep lady was incredibly hate-able, so she nailed the character as well lol

Exactly what I thought. About halfway through the first episode I thought “Black Mirror is back!” Really hope the rest of the episodes stick to the roots of the series.

Really enjoyed each one of them. Definitely back to the root feeling of what Black Mirror should be, imo. Tech focused, existential dread, dark twists, and without a happy ending.

Going to tackle the longer episodes this weekend most likely.

Learned something really cool about the episode Bête Noire today!

Spoiler: Bête Noire spoiler.

So apparently they shot two subtly different versions of the episode.

In the scene where they are arguing about the name of the restaurant in one version it is called “Barnie’s” and Verity changes it to “Bernie’s” and in another version it was called “Bernie’s” and she changes it to “Barnie’s”.

It’s not been addressed by Netflix or Black Mirror yet, and it seems the version you get on your Netflix account is random. Such a cool little way for Black Mirror to extend the intense gaslighting to the audience. [\SPOILER]

Loving it so far. They went back to their roots in a big way and it’s amazing.

Ive watched 4 episodes so far and really loved each one of them. Two of the episodes are pretty long so we’re gunna save them for this weekend.

Ended up watching Hotel Reverie tonight. It wasn’t bad, but definitely the weakest of the bunch. I get that it’s science fiction, but the whole premise felt a bit too contrived to me.

Issa Rae can't act so it's not surprising

I feel like if they made Issa’s character an inexperienced up and coming actress it would have played to her ability level very well.

Trying to make her an elite A-list actress just totally tanked the whole character.

Just finished the season up, what a f***ing ride! Best season by far since Black Mirror went to Netflix for season 3.

It's extremely hard to even rate them because 5 of the 6 eps were top notch but i'll try anyway:

1) USS Callister: Into Infinity - Have to rate it the best having the familiar cast all coming back, the ending was phenomenal. Nice long ep too, almost a short movie.

2) Bête Noire: Fun episode with another phenomenal ending.

3) Common People: This ep had it all, not the biggest shock ending but it was extremely entertaining from start to finish.

4) Plaything: Another great ending!

5) Eulogy: Slower episode but it built up and it was a very emotional episode by the end.

6) Hotel Reverie: Definitely the weak link in the season but on an average season it wouldn't be getting as much hate. It was a bit long and slow at parts which hurt it. Still thought it was ok.

Anyway, great to see them come out with a banger season again after a few meh years. Hopefully this continues into season 8!
