Value of: Bishop to WPG

I'm beginning to hate posts by fan bases that do no research into trades...
Between Bucky, Hutch, and Comrie....They have several years of goalies to work with.
This year has been a very strange year for goaltending. Lots of goalies getting lit up. Very small sample size.

Just so you don't get the wrong idea the OP was NOT a Lightning fan. The general consensus on our board is that we keep Bishop for one last Cup run and then let him walk - most of us aren't interested in trading him unless the return is substantial.

Bolts will keep him through the season unless something really unexpected happens like an injury to key players has us looking at the TDL and even if we are he has a no trade clause so it is still unlikely unless we are trading him to a contender or some team who wants to sign him long term. For WPG, consider that an elite goalie is very valuable and you don't have one, The Bolts would not be where we are competing for the cup without Bish. Last year we may have missed the playoffs if not for Bish. Look what happened to Montreal without Price.
For Bolts it is not a bad "problem" to have to just keep him until UFA and go after the cup.

Bishop as a rental to WPG wouldn't be bad, unless WPG needs to protect him in the upcoming expansion draft that is
They wouldn't have to protect him as long as they didn't sign him to an extension with a NMC. Problem is there is zero chance Bishop waives his existing NMC to go there without precisely that, and the price the Lightning would want for him would be more than WPG would be willing to pay for a rental.
