It is just ridiculously dumb. I don't think that is a hot take or me walking down the street with a pitch fork. They just lost their first choice as GM due to the results of an investigation. Guerin is a person in power that is alleged to have known about and covered up a sexual assault involving people ranked below him in the organizational chart. It's the same thing that made Bowman unwelcome. Fine, you're willing to give Guerin the benefit of the doubt but you have to admit the optics of this are awful.

This stuff won't have any bearing on how USA plays, it's just a situation that seems extremely easy to avoid. Your first GM has to step down due to involvement in a recent hockey scandal, don't make your next GM a guy who is under investigation for his role in a potential new scandal.
