Biggest No Shows for teams eliminated

Lightning injuries:

Bjorkstrand: (too complicated to write)
Cirelli: MCL Sprain Game 1
Glendening: AC Joint separation
Gourde: Broke a finger Game 1
Hagel: Concussion
Hedman: Broke foot Game 4
Kucherov: Suffered an injury in Feb he was managing
Paul: Tear in left wrist
Yep, everyone is hurt in the playoffs. I don’t see point or Vasi or Moser on that list and they were putrid.

Players need to step it up in the playoffs, and the Lightning choked

Montreal showed who they were in the regular season, a bad defensive team who needed to rely on incredibly goaltending to try to win games. They have a few good offensive players, who like to do their work on the PP. Having small poor two way players into the playoffs against a heavy team like Washington is not a good recipe.

Demidov/Caufield/Hutson didn’t have enough even strength chips to win against Washington. Suzuki looked tired by the end of it, and Matheson is a joke in his own zone which is no shock.

I will say, I think Dobes has good potential - reminds me of Lehner as a bigger goalie

Has anyone said EP? If he was worth even half his contract, and wasnt such a pissbaby to get JT out, thr Canucks probably make the playoffs
Seems like they would have just as soon traded EP instead if there was a return there, not sure it’s fair to blame him for the broken relationship anymore than it is to blame JT.

Curious if you also think Thornton, Marleau, and Pavelski were pathetic since they had pretty bad playoff stats and never won a cup for San Jose all those years the sharks were in the playoffs during their time?
Trashing on Thornton and Marleau is valid but Pavelski was a menace in the playoffs.

He needs to slow down just a little bit, he keeps getting hurt because he's so reckless.
Imo all three Hughes’ brothers get injured (and play through injuries) because they are so competitive. Jack, like Quinn and Luke play hard. They go to the difficult areas on the ice and compete. I don’t think that’s going to change, so the injuries will continue. Can’t call any of the three disappointing though.

Dougie Hamilton. It got to the point by the end where he wasn’t getting power play time at all, instead Keefe gave it to Nemec and Seamus Casey. I think now would be the best time to shop him around. Hell of a personality, a fan favorite, and we’ve done right by him unlike his other destinations, but in the end, business is business.

Also, every single player on the bottom six. In terms of xGF, the Devils had two of the top ten lines in the playoffs so far. The other two played hard defensively but contributed nothing on offense.

It runs in the family. Ellen only played one women’s championship in her career, back in 1992. Every other time she was injured, including the 1998 Nagano Olympics that she pushed so hard to get women’s hockey into.

My intention wasn’t even to trash them. But more so show that calling a great player pathetic because they’ve not had the same success in the playoffs that they do during the regular season, is dumb.
