Chyzowski went in 1989, an interesting draft year that saw a pretty bad first round when compared to most, but made money in the later rounds by producing Sergei Fedorov, Nicklas Lidstrom, Pavel Bure, Alexander Mogilny,Vladimir Konstantinov and Adam Foote among others.
And the Isles followed the Chyzowski pick in '89 with two more flops:
1990 Scott Scissons (total bust)
1991 Scott Lachance (played, but never justified his top-five draft position- especially as a player taken two spots before Peter Forsberg)
