Bigger choke in the first round?

Biggest choke?

Gotta be Avs because it came at the hand of a superstar they traded, therefore it's a double choke, other ones STL and LA were underdogs anyways.

tampa doesn't matter as they got spanked and winning wouldn't have done much
oilers would've just won in 7 instead of 6

blues were up 2 with 2 minutes
they gave up the gtg with 1.6 seconds left
blues had secret agent hellebuyck working full time and yet still lost + binnington was alright

avs still had half a game to go when mack scored
avs had their former star winger torch them and proceed to win the stars the series
the player traded for rantanen took the penalty that sold the series
blackwood wasn't even bad for colorado,

the avs-stars is more poetic and a storybook-like ending, but IMO the blues not being able to hold a 3-1 lead with 2 minutes left is worse

How is anyone voting for Blues? Yea they blew the last game but Winnipeg deserved to win and Winnipeg was the favourite at home. They gave the Jets everything they had, and by that I mean Hellebuyck had serious money on them.
It’s pretty even so far in the vote.

Which tells you how epic some of these chokes were.

It has to be St. Louis. How often does a team lose when leading by two goals with about two minutes left? How often does a team give up two five on six goals in one game?

I feel bad for the team and its fans because there would be nothing to criticize whatsoever about a Double OT Game Seven loss to the President's Trophy winning team if things had unfolded normally in that last game. But losing like that... ugh... that has to sting. It can't be fun at all.

I hate this choke talk. The Jets just played like heroes, I can't put my finger on any particular mistake that the Blues made.

We just saw two of the most memorable comebacks in playoff history and some people want to turn it into a negative story.
