Jones has a bit of offense to him. Defensively he shouldn't be on anything but the 3rd pair. Reminds me of Nils Lundqvist a bit. Probably better. He's an NHLer though, he shouldn't be wallowing in the minors.

It’s a testament to the Rangers player development that Jones has been able to step in and not look out of place at this critical juncture of the season.
It is a testament to their short sightedness that he hasn't played enough. Especially this year, especially since we ran out Trouba and Lindgren for months.

I would say that was the opposite of shortsighted. Jones looks much better the last few than he did to begin the season. I think Lindgren’s spot is now his to run with

Lindgren has looked far worse ALL year. AND Lindgren shouldn't have sniffed the top pair, same as Jones!
I totally understand that Lindgren was a warrior and deserves nothing but love for the man, but he was just bad at his job.
