It must have inserts or a band or something. It's funny to see Girard wear it then Mikko. Almost doesn't seem like it could be the same hat lol.

Mittlestadt's team pictures usually have him looking like someone who's smiling because they're pretending to someone off camera that they really want to be there, so it's fitting that he looks like this with the Big Hat also:
