I stopped watching this season quite a while ago, and I'm glad I did. Ratcole ftl.

Also, I thought splitting prize money wasn't allowed? Isn't James, and Nicole's little deal against the rules? Also, who won AFP? Please tell me it wasn't James.

Well considering James voted for Paul to win, I doubt that deal is still happening.

James still gets paid. You don't ask these guys to come back and then tell them they still gotta play to make it worth their while.

Paul should have won but you can't tell people off and then expect them to vote for you. He looked crushed (coming in 2nd) because he knew, like us, he should have won.

I thought BB18 was a bit of a dud because there was no one I hated as the show wound down.

Read a post on reddit awhile ago, no idea if its true or not. But they said James got paid around 25k for just coming back, and like another 25k for making jury. Again, take it with a grain of salt.

I'm sort of surprised that they have to pay people. I would have thought that enough people would want to go back in the house anyway for a chance to win that they wouldn't have to pay anyone

Spending your whole summer in a house cut off from the outside world? If you've already done it once, I see no reason why you'd go back without being guaranteed a certain amount of money. I know I'd want a guarantee for any money I'd lose from work plus more for being in there if I was being brought back into the house for a second time.

Worst season I can remember in a long time, whether Paul or Nicole won. Both were bad players. I thought Paul was slightly better, but Paul showed that he's not that good when he gave up the win by taking Nicole to the finale. They were likely to split the votes. I thought it would be a close vote. Paul vs. James would've likely had Paul winning 7 to 2.

The casting in recent seasons has been awful. Everyone "doesn't want blood on their hands", they sleep all day, they defer decisions to the HOH, they don't like confrontation, they model their games after Derek instead of Doctor Will or Evel Dick. Most of them haven't even watched more than the last few seasons. If they don't improve their casting in the next few seasons, I think the show will be off the air within three or four seasons.

It was by far not the worst season. So many flip flops on who was getting voted out and alliances made it good. Much better than some power team wiping everyone from start to finish. You actually didn't know what was going to happen with HOH win, as with other seasons it was pretty easy to figure out. Plus the house flipping on Frank and Paulie was good.

Paul should have won - like I said in the previous posts he pissed the girls off with his use of the c word on Meech. I really don't get Paulie but he was loyal to Corey.

Nicole played a decent game and you could tell she really got in shape to win comps and did well. She is annoying as hell and didn't have to work as hard as Paul but some of that is due to playing a strong game.

I just didn't enjoy it. I found it boring. I found the players to be really bad at big brother. They were afraid of confrontation, their grasp of the game was really poor, and I don't think it was exciting TV. By the end of the season, I was just DVR'ing most of the episodes, and not even paying that much attention while I watched the episodes. I think I also missed an episode, and didn't even bother watching it on the internet.

Nicole might've been one of the better players on this cast, but she was not good. Compare her to the other winners, and she's among the five worst. She played so little during the game. She was very good at the end on a very weak cast, but she did absolutely nothing for most of the game.

I think it was Derrick on RHAP, he said that none of the players know basic BB tactics. Like talking to the HOH to see where they are at. Not many strategized at all this season. Other stuff too. A lot of dumb players.

Still though, like said above, this if the first season in awhile that wasn't just one alliance that wins out the entire game from the beginning. I enjoyed this season. Mostly because of Paul and Victor... the rest were kinda boring.

They all did that stuff but I feel like this season most of it didn't make the cuts, maybe to create drama for the episodes.

Well, I'm glad I didn't watch the finale then. This season, overall, was pretty decent, but all I wanted was Nicole out...and nobody did it. Argh. I knew it was over when Natalie flipped to Nicole/Corey's side.

Get this through your head (and everyone else who still thinks like this): it will NEVER go back to how it was the first few seasons. EVER. There is the debate over whether production rigs the show or not, which doesn't even matter in this case. At this point, most of them that aren't just recruits know that if you try and make big moves, it will lead to you leaving. Nobody tries to be bold anymore because they know that will lead to a quick exit. It's all about strategy. It's like how hockey is becoming lower scoring because everyone is sticking to systems and blocking shots etc. People who've watched the show have learned from past players how to/not to play and unfortunately that's the reality (heh) of this all now. I miss those days too, don't get me wrong, where players would play their own game and go for big shots early on and divide the house into two powers. It's just not wise anymore. Just become everyone's buddy and deflect all heat as a "it's a house decision." The James/Nicole "lay low and do nothing but try and be friends with everyone" is the best tactic at this point.

The only thing I don't get is with so many fans at this point, you'd think they'd find enough people to cast that are actual fans and wouldn't have to "recruit" people in just to find sexy people for the house...

Edit: I hope that first line doesn't look too insulting. Didn't mean for it to be condescending

I agree with this. Big Brother needs there own Tony from survivor who plays completely different from the norm, makes people think there's no way he can keep this up and in the end pulls out the win.

Yeah if that somehow happens there might be a chance of people realizing you can win no matter how you play.

How soon will Natalie get a restraining order against James? I'm glad that Victor got AFP and not her.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/big-brother-18-janelle-pierzina-929768

They asked 9 former houseguests who they would have voted for and it was 8-1 for Paul.

So I guess this means that for every season from now on they are going to give us nauseating updates on Nicole and Corey like they do with the Jordan/Jeff and Brendan/Rachel?:shakehead

For as dumb as it was for Paul not to take James his clothing business should really take off now with all the publicity he got.

The most ridiculous thing about this article is that it claimed that people liked Rachel. God I hated her. So much.

"Brendan...I am Las Vegas."

The crying bush.

I thought the exact same thing. They kept saying that she wasn't like in her first season but was in the second? That's BS. No one can stand her and that still applies today.

Someone pulling off a Tony on BB would be amazing to watch.

The language was fine, but I don't think people are going to want to watch that many more seasons of this same show, when its clearly went to **** in recent seasons.

And you are right, people understand how the game is now played. They "lay low " for 75% of the game, and whoever plays the best for the last 25% of the game wins, but thats so boring, it makes for terrible TV. This is a television show. How can the CBS execs tolerate a show that has gotten so much worse in recent seasons? Those in charge of casting have complete control of how the game will be played in the future. If they'd stop casting all these models and people who've not watched the show, and only learn their strategy from watching the last few seasons in sequester, which were some of the worst seasons in the show's history, maybe we could get back to good seasons.

I think one thing you are underestimating is that the types of players they are casting contribute so much to the type of game being played. Also, not every person who actually wants to play the game throughout is going to play it like Devin or Zach or Paulie. There are definitely Amanda's or Paul's who probably want to play the game. They just have to be smarter with their casting, if they want to change how the game is being played.

It seems like they are trying to change that, as they don't have Robyn Kass casting Big Brother OTT, so maybe it'll be a good season.
