Yup, they sure did underachieve. They should have won at least two more cups. They partied harder than they played and maybe didn't take teams as seriously as they should have. Bobby Orr has even tried to take the blame for them not winning more. He's probably the last guy who should be blamed though.

Dont forget in 1969 it was generally accepted that they were a better team than Montreal but in a short series the Canadiens be the Canadiens. Had they got past Habs their chances were very good.

!969 Bruins had 100 point season, Canadiens 103 points. Outside of New England it wasn't generally accepted that Boston was the better team.

I'm planning on going to UMass/UConn on Friday in Hartford. Other than that I have no plans yet. Maybe I could get a single for a B's game after New Year sometime. Maybe one of the afternoon games.
