Tough call.

Both have similar production, and neither deserved their Conn Smythe.

I'll homer vote for Kane just cause of how much emotional weight some of the playoff memories I associate with him have, but on a purely intellectual analysis, it's a tossup for me.

Kane got a pity Smythe in 2013 and didn't deserve it. Could've gone to Crawford or Keith.

Ovechkin scored 15 goals, which was tied with Sidney Crosby as the most goals scored in a post-season after the 2006 lockout until Hyman last year.

And yet Kuznetsov was clearly the more dominant player during their run, if you want to talk about pity Smythe's and all.
 
Patrick Kane.

But at times I find Kane gets overrated for playoffs, and Ovechkin underrated, it's not a huge gap. Both are very good.
