No he hasn’t. He was on a 1.34 ppg pace when he was acquired. Now, he won’t stay there by any means, but he has great chemistry with one of the premier LWers in the game, and a scoring RWer in Duclair or Tippett. No reason he can’t be half of his PPG last season.

So that comment WAS about Bennet. LOL. He'll be good for 25-30 pts. Enjoy.

I think it's about equal. Both very good offensive teams. Toronto obviously owns the top six and Florida has the edge in the bottom six. I'll take the much stronger top six any day of the week, thx.

LOL. Laugh.......Kinda like you're making us all do?

You cheer for a team that hasn’t won a playoff series in nearly 20 years right? And loses in the most embarrassing fashion possible? Do you laugh so you don’t break into tears?

Florida was a top team last year, lost in 6 without their 1D to the cup champs, and improved in the offseason. The leafs, on the other hand, continue to weaken due to poor cap management.

Toronto obviously owns the top six? Lmao. You should really watch other teams more. Cause you’re just embarrassing yourself. Regardless, Leafs fans gonna be Leafs fans. You’d get more perspective talking to a wall lol.

Florida was a top team last year, lost in 7 without their 1D to the cup champs, and improved in the offseason. The leafs, on the other hand, continue to weaken due to poor cap management.

My team hasn't won in many years, and your team has never won anything ever. Take a log off your little fire there. Neither of us can say much until we do it.

I'm laughing at people saying Sam Bennet is anything good. He's just not.

They TOTALLY own the top six. Toronto has three legit elite players(Matthews, Marner & Tavares) and one "close to elite" player(Nylander) in their top six.

Florida has two(Barkov and Huberdeau).

There's no debate to be had here.

No debate? We are talking about Marner, Matthews, and Tavares, not a trio of McDavids  Tavares is the advantage the Leafs have, the other big two on each team are washed out. They own the top six, with four players huh? Bunting, Ritchie, Kerfoot, whoever you want to add to your top four, doesnt add to your top six "TOTALLY" owning the Panthers  And if you want to add Nylander as close to elite, which he is not, then by all means you can add Reinhart as well, which he is also not.

Hey, Winnipeg won the 1896 and 1901 Stanley Cups, just a few years before the leafs won their last.

Sam Bennett was grossly misused by the flames and was over a point per game with the Panthers. He’s also not butter soft like everyone in the Leafs top 6.

I’d say Florida in terms of depth. I prefer Matthews as the top player but in terms of depth Toronto has Ritchie on their top line and either Kerfoot or Bunting on the second line while the only real question mark in Florida is Bennett on the second line. Florida’s bottom six looks significantly better.

My first impulse was to take Florida but I think the Leafs have it by a hair but if Lundell progresses well that might Tippett.

Flordia is the one team in hockey which can't talk shit to leaf fans about lengthy playoff series droughts.

The two biggest chokers in hockey for playoff teams at the moment

Barring an injury that causes him to miss 15+ games, Bennett's a good bet to score 20+ goals, 40+ points.

Leaf fans writing him off, while at the same time propping up guys like Bunting, Ritchie, and Kase, are pretty funny.

I have to wait and see how the Panthers play on the ice before I can make my judgment.
That shortened season within the same division is not enough for me to get a crystal clear picture of what they'll do moving forward. And the new names in the lineup doesn't guarantee the right chemistry.
I think these things take time to become a real good team. Time together as a team to work on playing good hockey as a team. It can be the difference between what it might look like on paper, and coming up just short.
Toronto has been together for while, and they have a certain level of play you can expect from them.

Guess it depends on what you like.

Toronto forwards will feed on teams like Detroit and Buffalo in the regular season. But they stand no shot in winning in the playoffs lmao.

Florida's team looks like a playoff threat.

How'd that work out against the Habs?

It's close, ish. But an objective viewer should pick Florida.
