Obviously there are a ton of rumors flying around but which teams are expecting/willing to make changes on the right side of their defense? I've seen everything from Ekblad, Rasmus Andersson and Noah Dobson to wilder options like Charlie McAvoy (injury/Boston Rebuild), Nemec (Playing time), and Power/Byram (Buffalo morale implosion) but what the market really is seems extremely clouded.

Power/byram are LD.....

Youth = Willander or mancini if you wanna gamble fast development.

Older - Hronek or anderson

Best available for trade top 4 RD this summer are probably Andersson and Karlsson. Maybe Hamilton will be available but there's no way the Devils would retain so he would be hard to move After that the options aren't nearly as good. Someone like Connor Murphy, or Rasmus Ristolainen
Karlsson has a full NMC, so available is a very dependent term there

Dobson is certainly not available anymore. Darche did an interview in French the other day after his initial presser and he mentioned that the core (Barzal, Dobson, Pageau, Sorokin, Horvat and Romanov) was too good to finish last and that he was working on giving them better depth.

He specifically mentioned they had a lot of players who skated fast but couldn’t play hockey because they had no hockey sense.

Hronek isn't available ffs.
You’re probably right, but there have been lots of discussion here in Vancouver with him.

I also don’t think it makes much sense right now, maybe in a couple of years.

At the end of the day it really depends on what they do, and if they have at least some restraint and don’t trade mancini dpetey or willander

I’m not sure I buy this, at least in the sense of who is unavailable. I mean I like Pageau but I’m not sure Id consider him as part of the core.

Important questions remain. Does he want to be there? Do they want to pay him wants he wants?

Any late RFA or impending UFA on a mediocre to bad team is a trade candidate until he puts pen to paper. That's a primary trigger for trade activity in the NHL.

I forget who it was in listened to with a list of where the salaries are projected to be or asked for by the player. Dobson came in at 10 million per season if he stayed in Long Island.

$10.25 x 8

On one hand, 4th highest paid D in the league by cap makes you wince. On the other, it’s in the teens when you look at it in the context of percentage and a flat cap baseline.
