Not quite Kravtsov but he’s in the higher level of legendary prospects.
He has been in more posts that claim that Maple Leafs fans put him in trade proposals than the actual trade proposals. When he was playing well with the Marlies he was a featured prospect in proposals - not just by Maple Leafs fans. When his "personal problems" affected his game, he was a throw in, but even then, he wasn't going to be re-signed. Now he is brought up in nonsense posts usually by the least knowledgeable posters.

Lol yeah we'll take Brock Nelson, 30 goal scorer, two way stud with size, and absolute playoff dog for:

a mid to late first in a bad draft
an undersized ahl F
the face of Canada's most recent national embarrassment on ice

No idea but he’s a local kid from Long Island. Outside of the Leafs drafting him and getting substantially overhyped (as usual), that’s about all I know.

Fans who cheer for teams with shallow pools will overhype than fans who cheer for teams with a deep pool. I think all fan bases are gullible to this narrative. Pay attention to it.

Leafs best dangle in this package is that 2026 1st. Cowen is a B+ guy IMO.... projected 3rd liner if he reaches his ceiling. Not many will value Robertson at this stage. So this is a late 1st and B+ prospect offer in the end. It's not completely horrible value for rental

In truth, I'd value the late 1st in 2026 more than the up coming draft. From what I see and hear, there is significant drop at 20.

Cowan has a 64 game point streak going right now he's not just the Leafs top prospect he's one of the top prospects in the sport

Nice tied with Sens 4th round prospect on the same team with 38 points.

Does that sens 4th rounder have a nearly 2 season point scoring streak going?

No? then It's not the same.

...so YOU think he is...cuz he doesn't appear at the top of most prospects lists...from what I've read, around #25 or so...

It's not about what I think, the man has a nearly 2 season point scoring streak going that's got to mean something

Lol, he’s producing at exactly the same rate as a 4th round Sens pick. The point streak is nice but he is a B prospect

Let me know when that magical Sens 4th rounder has a point scoring streak that streak that stretches nearly 2 seasons.

You and others like you are making a ridiculous comparison

...calling others ridiculous while providing absolutely nothing else but "he has a scoring streak" isn't helping your arguement, amigo...yes, he's scored in a crapload of consecutive games...and still has only as many points as said Sens 4th Rounder...both are true...what else puts him in the Upper Echelon of prospects??... :dunno:

Usually that’s because of the options with the prospect. Small pools = minimal options. If we’re talking on the surface between this and the Horvat deal, the only difference is at the time Beau is and was a better player than Nick Robertson but had a much larger cap hit as well. The 1st and top prospect both match up (even if Cowen is better then Raty was at the time of trade).
Personally I want the Isles to go all in for James Hagens even if the 2026 draft is better. It’s a lot for the local kid to get drafted by his favorite team growing up. I could however see him getting picked by the isles and then spending another year in college to get stronger/work on little things with his game.

The OHL record breaking point scoring streak that stretches nearly 2 seasons.

I don't care if he's tied in points with a Sens 4th rounder because chances are that Sens 4th rounder has played more games because Cowan played at the world Jr. tournament.

That Sens 4th rounder does not have a record breaking point scoring streak going.

The 2 aren't the same, not even close but you and others are trying to say they are.

They are not.

Robertson is the new Bracco. Cowan is the new Robertson.

I do wonder if Bracco would have been a player, if it weren't for the rumours around hazing, and addictions. I'm not trying to make a case that he would have been anything special, but when those rumours came out, and he took a leave from the Marlies while doing fairly well... that was just the end right there for him.

...so you have nothing else??...what else makes Cowan a Top Prospect??...cuz the people that get paid to rank 'em seem to put him around the mid-twenties...so what makes you believe that he is higher??... :dunno:

I was thinking for Crosby as a rental but not for all 3
I thought all 3 was big enough to go big game hunting like Panarin

A. Panarin is a winger
B. Panarin is worth way more than that, especially with possible retention. For a Ranger, you're looking at Zibanejad for a package like that
C. Crosby is worth WAYYYY more than that
