Best sniper + playmaker combination in one player

Crosby or Malkin.

Since the lockout, what other players have had a 75+ assist season, AND a 50+ goal season? Off the top of my head, there are only two, and it's Geno and Sid.
Both in the same year?

Leon Draisaitl did both in 22-23.

McDavid did both in 22-23 as well (scoring 64). The next season he tallied 100 assists.

MacKinnon did both last year.

Dude, you spent the last page scolding everyone for not using your extremely narrow sniper definition of someone who scores all their goals wrist shot top shelf bar down. Now you pull a 180 and go with a new definition of "total goals". I think their might be some middle ground you are missing there.
People are throwing out randomness for who they think scores a lot. I still think sniper is the Semin/Kovalchuk/MacKinnon top cheese shooters vs the Draisaitl/Ovechkin one timers, but if we are going to crown todays top GOAL SCORER (not sniper) + Playmaker then it makes sense to have tiers that we can objectively not argue about. Also no idea what youre talking about total goals. Im saying you need a minimum of 50 goals to enter the conversation then x number of assists and I did the tiers of 100/90/85/80/75 assists. 75 is when it started being watered down.

Mario and Wayne are in their own universe. Some other greats did it once and of todays players, only MacKinnon and McDavid entered into the holy crap tier of 50+ goals and 80+ assists in a single season.

So how many those goals in a season should have a player to be "the best sniper".
1 or 2 in a season? So what's the point then, maybe it's lucky couple goals... If you say 3-5 then show me 36-60 snipes from MacKinnon.
And what about playmaking definition. It's every random play - second-third touch before a goal?
I think a sniper is purely the eye test. Its simply the guys who always aim bar down. We all played with that guy who shoots over the net more often than not, but when they hit, its beautiful.

Playmaking, we need a fancy word for like sniper, but its the no look passes, tight windows, and through players. Honestly Draisaitl has the backhand crown already, but overall playmaker, could be a good discussion.

What about numbers? Or it's not about consistency it's about beautifulness?

Im sure we can find hole maps of where players goals are scored and come up with some. But yes, a tight shot may be equally hard hitting the 5 hole as it is hitting top glove corner, but obviously one is a ton prettier and if there is the bar down clink, then dude panties dropping everywhere.

Im sure some site has this data we can dive through.

Draisaitl never scores any goals in the snipe category?

And of course his bread and butter is to score from a low angle that is mostly left open because NHL defenders are aware that it is much more difficult to hit a net from a low angle, as it is a smaller target.

So seven-hole, five-hole, bottom-right corner snipes, etc. don't count for whether one is a really good sniper? Just beating a goalie clean past his glove is a snipe too.

Saying Draisaitl isnt a sniper is like saying a rocket isnt a jet.
The gymnastics are impressive.

Still not a single one of those are "snipes". That is simply hitting a difficult angle. A sniper from the military definition is hitting a small target from long distance. Hockey terms, every player ever who has played at a reasonable skill level knows that is bar down top cheese where mama hides the cookies busted water bottle shots and even better if its you vs the goalie 1v1 instead of a screen or one timer.
Those impossible angle goals in the video meet the very definition of your words. Long distance = basically standing at the boards. Small target = impossibly small angle.

Patric Kane deserves some love. 483 goals and 832 assists from 07/08-present. Good for 4th and 2nd overall in that time frame.

Drai is a multiple 50 goal scorer, shoots 20% year after year, twice voted by the players as the best passer in the world and he somehow doesn't qualify. Oiler haters trying too hard here.
