Best radio/ tv in ohl

I don't have a top ten. Don't care for London's or Kitchener's tv crews. Before getting games on TV, I listened to a lot of games on the radio. London and Kitchener were/ are my favorite. The TV crews I like are Niagara, as I mentioned in a previous post, and Owen Sound. The Owen Sound play by play guy is excellent. The young kid in the crew is a lot like Erie's announcer, talks a lot without saying much. Don't like to be too critical though, they are young kids just getting started. What's your top 10 hockeygyy16?

2. Saginaw 2. Brampton
3. Brampton. 3. Ottawa
4. North Bay. 4. Peterborough
5. Oshawa 5. Flint
6. Kingston 6. Oshawa
7. Barrie
8. Owen sound
9. Peterborough
10. Niagara

For radio/ I can’t go past 6. I do like my top 6 in radio though. Big fan of Saginaw/Brampton and Ottawa’s broadcasts for radio coverage.

Niagara hockey team struggles in many things but radio and tv not a problem probably the best Like Owen Sound tv announcers too . Brantford and Erie the worse

Owen sound and Niagara are not the best. Not a chance. The Owen sound guy when he says scores. Sounds like he is constipated. The Niagara play by play guy is annoying.

As for radio. Niagara guy is very boring

Owen sound guy sounds like he’s half asleep.

I’d also put for radio. Sarnia and London in my top 10.

This is nothing more than opinions. They are not wrong if they like something that others don't. I will post a list later, my preferences but Owen Sound PxP guy is the best and it's not even close for the rest.
 
Gerry Liscumb Jr on rock 101 in the Soo. What Gerry does do the Soo Greyhounds off the air as well though, he’s the heart of that staff…

The Soo would be better using Gerry as both radio and TV.

Nope. Don’t like a goal call when someone sounds constipated. He’s not the best.
 
I find the good ones and bad ones very entertaining...especially the bad ones! I do enjoy the Guelph and Windsor TV crews.

I dont rate them since I just really appreciate having the majority of games free on the TV.

Windsor ( always mispronounced names ). Tells stories like Walt Disney. Do like Windsor’s radio broadcasts. Guelph is just a complete joke both ways. TV ( terrible ). Radio since Larry left. The young kid is just awful.
 
Over the years, I've enjoyed many TV broadcasts. The Soo, Windsor, Niagara, Sudbury, Peterborough, Owen Sound, Brantford... those stood out. For radio, I've listened to Beller in Windsor since I was a little kid. He's an icon. I appreciate the Kitchener guys, too. I've listened to a few Knights ones while in the area and they were good.

Windsor does a good job. Not a fan of the others. That’s a rough list. Lol. Do like Peterborough aswell. As for the others. Yikes!

Pete was in my opinion better when he was on the radio than on TV. On the radio his Dad Gary was the host and Pete did the play by play. They were a really good combination. Pete is good on TV doing the play by the play but maybe not as good in the conversations with Scott Arnold. I think the difference is that on the radio both Pete and Gary were definitely favouring the Petes but on TV he thinks he has to more neutral and as a result is not as natural as he was on the radio. In regards to the subs. I think it is a promotion of Mr Sub who provides the food for the crew. Section 9 reference is likely an old radio thing that mentions people in the crowd and section 9 is mostly season ticket holders. Legendary Peterborough play by play host, Bill Bennett use to do the same thing.
