I don't know how to measure the quality of a pokecheck, they are pretty much all the same.
For MTL, Kotkaniemi has a pretty nasty stick in various aspects. He plays with an insanely long stick too.

This is Stone. He's a veritable master, and I'm not sure there's anybody else even in his tier.
Anyway, for those that wonder where this is coming from, I'm guessing it's based on his takeaway rate and stats published by The Point. They have access to a lot of stuff that aren't publicly available, and they had Nylander actually leading all forwards in the league the season before last in 'Defensive plays in the neutral zone'. I don't remember quite what was included but from what I remember it was pretty much anything the player actively did to halt a puck carrier's attempt to generate transition and/or offense. I'd venture that in his case, most of that comes from funneling players into areas where they trapped, which he does very well, but he's also very good at disrupting play with his stick checks.

Not saying he's the best, no way I'd call him a 2-way forward, lol, and I don't know what he did in Buffalo, but Skinner always surprised me with how often he used his stick to relieve the opposition of the puck in their defensive zone when he played for the Canes.

He won’t get much press, Adam Pelech’s rangey, lanky pokecheck is elite. He effortlessly breaks up plays.

Meh. Takeaways happen next to the boards.
For example Aho never pokechecks, but is near league in takeaways.
Once saw Ziggy Palffy do the most unexpected, crazy move where he played with 100% commitment on defense and pulled a Datsyuk level takeaway out of nowhere while being two steps behind. Man had a talent.
That is a cup check, not a poke check!
